Exactly. Kids should prepare for this time in the parents lives if they need a caregiver. Many people don't and it's sad they have to go to a nursing home😢I realize that many have to work buy it's still what God wants us to do.

@tashaymy8561 Thank you so much. My grandmother passed september sixteenth nineteen seventy two the day after I got married. Didn't call it alzheimer's or dementia at that point in time they said she had hardening of the arteries in her brain or so called senality. After all these years I still tear up at the thought of the things that they put her through because they didn't understand the disease. Again, thank you for your comment.It brought tears to my eyes tonight.

MY HUSBAND DUE TO NON FATTY LIVER DISEASE (DIAGNOSED 2019) DEVELOPED FRONTAL LOBE DEMENTIA AND IT TOOK HIM OUT 6 YRS AGO JUNE 8TH😢 WE MOVED IN WITH OUR DAUGHTER 6 YRS BEFORE THAT. START OF HIS LAST YEAR WE STARTED HOME CARE. HE WAS DIAGNOSED 3 1/2 YRS BEFORE THAT. THE LAST YEAR WAS THE HARDEST. WENT BY AMBULANCE END OF APRIL, IN HOSPICE 3 WEEKS AND WENT TO HIS LORD WHO HE ADORED. IF YOU CARE TO SHARE I WILL LISTEN. GOD BLESS💞

I love it ... I have worked in the memory unit at nursing homes and have also worked with dementia and alzheimer patients. Nobody wants to be pushed around or bossed around. The best thing u can do is make EVERYTHING seem like their idea, if they get to the stage where they become belligerent. I have NEVER in 15yrs had any issues by using this tactic. And let them do what they want if possible. Keep them at home just like this too, trust me I saw some horrific things working in a VERY UPSCALE retirement home (memory care)!!!! I LOVE THESE VIDEOS!! YOU truly are an AMAZING son with the patience of a saint!
