Hi - RM is one of the most motivational speaker I've ever heard (Suga is a close second, seems like almost every other song he says "Dream" in it.) Without them, I do not think I would have had the courage to publish my books. Now thanks to their gentle pushing my third book will be coming out before Christmas. - I'm very glad you had an opportunity to watch this. So proud of RM, he was so nervous before speaking, but he did so well. 💜

This is why a lot of armies call him the president. They truly are ambassadors and carry ambassador passports. Did you know that RM is on a special committee for negotiating for the return for POW bodies from North Korea. He's been on that committee for a couple of years now. His heart did stop when he was 15 he had surgery that he only had 30% survival rate.

Army really needs to stop spreading this fake story 😭 This is not true Nesto! this was a rumor that started in 2014 due to the lyrics of "Intro: O!RUL8,2?", then idk how that evolved and turned about RM getting surgery at 15 (actually I do, it was bc of a media report but we all know they lie all the time) 💀 The full line said : My heart stopped when I was nine or ten. Putting my hand on my heart, I ask, “what was my dream?”" Namjoon even uncovered that rumor confirming it wasn’t true in an interview during their comeback for I NEED U. He said: "That line it's actually a metaphorical way of saying 'I lived a meaningless life as if my heart has stopped' but fans took it literally. Wouldn't there be a surgery scar on my chest when I take off my shirt then? (laughs)" Despite he explaining that some armys kept spreading the rumor until many baby armys took it as a fact just like the fake story of BTS being kicked out of ISAC, Jungkook performed kind of angry in an award show bc he had a test the next day or that Hobi was meant to be a vocalist in BTS but he changed positions with Taehyung lmao 😭 Anyway, this UN speech actually helped bring back this rumor but to clarify it since baby armys and some not that new started reacting to that speech with things like "oh no Namjoon talked about his heart health issues again" when the speech was clearly making a relation to self-love and acceptance. 💜 By the way, so far we know, and it's confirmed with official announcements, that Namjoon underwent surgery for his nose because he couldn't breathe well while sleeping due to a septum deviation.

I believe they spoke at the United Nations 3 times and also performed there. Plus spoke at the White House. RM has the most eloquent speeches and it shows also in his lyrics in the music he writes. And his voice is so soothing, just love him 💕💜💕💜

He wasn't the only member to speak that day, but he was the most impactful. The behind the scenes for it is also really good as you get to see them film a music video IN the UN building. The only such thing I know to ever happen there. It was amazing... but THEY are amazing people. 💜

✨This was the first time of the few that BTS spoke at the UN and or on behalf of. This was in 2018, during the BTS Love Yourself era where they also joined hands and campaigned along with unicef supporting youth , against anti bullying & violence. This was also right before the Love Yourself, Speak Yourself, next chapter of era and next worldwide tour that followed in 2019. BTS spoke again, but this time in 2021, speaking up on behalf of army, each members spoke in turn. Also performed Permission to Dance, the day before right inside the UN beforehand. Hope you react to those speeches that each member did as well. This time it was about climate control, concern. What they did was most impressive, and was even interviewed along with the president of S.K. At the time.👍🙏🤩🥰

a lot of Valedictorians and Professors have quoted RM and a course on the success of BTS was given at Yale by a sociologist. BTS big stuff. Them members didn't really understand what he said in English, I'm sure he told them the gist of it, but they were so proud of him. Then next time they came to the UN they all had a part in speaking.

RM's was the first speech at the event of Unicef in 2018. In 2017, BTS as a group and Bighit had secretly donated more than USD1M to UNICEF and it was only until this PM speech that BTS and Unicef came to an agreed, launching UNICEF and BTS Love Yourself Campaign which advocates against abuses, bullying and violence against children and the defenseless. On the part of BTS, BigHit (the label) and BTS (the group artists) donated to Unicef for the benefit more than 800Millon kids, who are victims of all forms of abuses and violence from all over the world, out of 1% of the sale price of their 2018 Love Yourself Album, 3% of the net proceeds of their Love Yourself Tour Concerts in 2019, and 100% of the MERCH being sold in those concerts. In 2018-2020, BTS and Bighit were able to raise and donate more than USD10M and, to date, BTS and other Bighit artists are donating to UNICEF to support such Love Yourself campaign. In 2021, BTS had another opportunity to render a speech together with SK President at that time. This time BTS spoke and performed at the United Nation General Assembly (UNGA) where all of them made their short speeches in Korean. During the pandemic, BigHit and BTS donated USD1Million to benefit the over 2,000 staff and crew involved in their canceled tours in the US and other countries where they were supposed to hold concerts. And, beautifully, most ARMY fans waived the rebate of their tickets and donated the same for the cause. Aside from their donations as a group BTS, all members have been making donations to different causes, individually. Since 2017-2022, all members belonged to the Top 10 most charitable KPop Idols. Following IU (a solo female KPop Idol), Jin, Jimin, JHope, Suga, RM, V and JK occupied the next spots in that order. Even during his enlistment, On his birthdays and after successful release of Face and Muse, Jimin, through his father, has continued, even during his enlistment, donating 100M Won (about USD84Million) to Busan's Ministry of Education and to other schools within and outside Busan to benefit underprivileged students in the form of scholarships and all of these are made secretly by Jimin until they were leaked by the institution upon compliance oon government reportorial requirements. All otherc members were also reported to have donated to various institutions helping underprivileged cancer patient children and other children who are inflicted with serious deseases. As for Jin, he helps out in his family's humanitarian works. It was also said that huge portion of the proceeds of BTS online concerts were donated to several groups in South Korea, helping out people during the pandemic.

When my daughter turn 9 she stopped eating because one of her classmates said she is fat… I tell you she is not… she was all legs and arms… i had to do an intervention before it got worse… i talked to her about bulimia and anorexia… and i asked her who called her fat? She showed me the girl when we had the school parent-teacher conference day… i tell you the girl was 2x the size of my daughter! From then on I kept reinforcing about health instead of “beauty standards”… kids are mean and i think parental influence is very important… they learn from watching us, their parents… so to bring up good children we have to be good and non judgemental first…💜

I've seen this speech several times now and I can't help but tear up every time. The whole speech is mesmerizing and will go down in history, but these couple lines here hit my heart hard: "These faults and mistakes are what I am, making up the brightest stars in the constellation of my life. I have come to love myself for who I am, for who I was, and for who I hope to become." Of course there are plenty more that get to me, but I can't write everything.. RM is just a natural born teacher, leader, philosopher, president, ect. But with all these titles comes an enormous amount of responsibilities and pressure.
