This is why I love Kanye. He literally is Bridging the Gap between the old school soul music and today's hip hop kids. The man is a musical encyclopedia. Also, the Remix of Diamonds comes first because the original was already out as a single before the album came out. Ye chose to mix it up when he released the album and put the Remix in there instead.

On the Late Registration CD, the Diamonds from Sierra Leone Remix comes before the original Diamonds. I remember way back around when the album dropped Kanye was asked about it and said he always intended for Jay-Z to on it to begin with. Late Registration came out at the height of the Jay-Dame beef when Jay had already left Roc-a-Fella for Def Jam and "retired". So it took him a while to get Jay into the studio to record that song.

I mean, I notice the dad paying a lot of attention to the instrumentals which I often miss because I'm focused on lyrics. His dad probably misses bars all the time (or at least would without lyrics up). I really think it's all to do with what you go into music looking for, and his dad's probably used to focusing on music more than words. Kanye is imo the quintessential rapper for people who focus on the beat.

This is not only my favorite Kanye album but this is my favorite RAP album of all time. I know I’m biased because I was born and raised in Chicago and my mom would play this in the car with me growing up, but being 25 now and revisiting this album on the regular I can take a deeper dive and really dissect it in sections and it’s just an absolute BANGER from start to finish of a piece of art. From the intoxicating smooth beats with jazz and funk elements,to the fantastic transitions into one another. The lyrics are engaging and well sounded. You can actively listen and here what he’s saying with his incredible word pacing and flow through it all. Incredible features that really lift the songs their on to another level. And all in all, the atmosphere and over all vibe/feel of this album is just so great. Makes you feel good and like you can take on the world, to sad and personal moments that you can really hit in your feels at times. I will always love this album forever and ever and I listen to A LOT of rap of all decades and time periods and I love rap, but THIS ALBUM, THIS SHIT RIGHT HERE, THIS SHIT FOREVER HOT! Sorry for the book, but if you read it all you’re a real one lol

The music for Diamonds from Sierra Leone and it's remix were in fact taken from the theme song for the 1971 James Bond film Diamonds Are Forever. Man, I really love you guys. I’ve loved hip hop my whole life. Most of my life hip hop was my whole life but only a small amount of my life I had a chance to enjoy hip hop and all music with other people how you guys enjoy music together. Not only do I enjoy watching people enjoy music and critique it but your channel in particular is reacting to the most influential albums to me in my life being a baby of 91. Kanye, 50, Eminem, dr Dre, pac, biggie, outkast. nas, jay-z, and etc etc really is awesome seeing a father of our generation enjoy it. Your father’s ear for music production, melodies and orchestration is amazing. I really feel like he’s someone who appreciates music as much as I do. I just discovered you less than a week ago and have watched you react to 5 or so albums together and a bunch of clips from instagram and it’s truly therapeutic for me being someone who moved to another country and haven’t had this connection with someone over music besides reaction videos really people and channels like you online have become my friends to enjoy and share music with. Thanks for doing what you do. Thanks for being cool and really and enjoying music the way I do. Kanye specifically really resonates with me and makes me emotional. He’s so great at everything he does but has been truly destroyed by the loss of his mother- he was never the same and he really seems to take criticism to heart and he’s so criticized for just being him, even if he’s wild and you don’t agree with him and what he does it’s tough watching what I feel is a truly sensitive, genuine and free thinking artists. The production and genius of Kanye really shines on this album. The first two songs are all you need to hear to know that Kanye’s production level on this album was out of this world. I don’t agree with ye but I always empathize with him and maybe forgive him more than I should because of his genius in music and his influence on my life. I feel money, fame, arrogance, people putting him down no matter how great and legendary he’s become and On top of that losing his mother and knowing what she meant to him it’s hard not to sympathize and empathize with him for me. You can’t box him in, he’ll always be an outside of the box, genius.

I think your dad mixed up Adam Lavine with Blake Sheldon when he called him a country singer 😂. So happy your doing reactions to the discography of one of the most iconic artists in hip-hop. I’m hoping for some more Kendrick though and TPAB in the near future.

Fun fact. Patti labelle on roses is not a sample. She recorded vocals for the album
