I think the disconnect some have with Teezo is a difference in interpretation of what he's doing artistically. If you look up the definition of "camp" Teezos music fits a "camp" label almost to a T. It's not exactly Weird Al spoof music but it's also not completely serious. I understand why some are interpreting the album as childish, basic/derivative and or cheesey but there's a self awareness and skill level to what Teezo does that I feel its better described as fun, simple but effective, relatable and nostalgic. Sure it's possible critics of the album understand what he's going for and still don't like it or think it could be executed better ..but still I think understanding what Teezo is intending changes how most will hear it. I love what Teezo is doing artistically and find it to be a breathe of fresh air because I'm not aware of any other mainstream artist making camp within the hiphop/alternative rock and r&b space.

Mood swing is such a unique song, he literally showed us a mood swing on a song when the song went haywire and then went back to the chorus.. it was so fucking cool! Super cool album and love the reaction vid!

What a pleasant surprise and thank you for listening to the album, been a big fan of Teezo's work for awhile. Maybe you can do some patreon videos showing your dad his previous songs that are like mixtape singles, watch the videos. It enhances the experience cuz he has the most interesting music video history in, i feel, decades? Its even more eclectic and is still some of his best. Hes gonna go far and hasnt really even started. Dude is like Andre 300 mixed with Rick James and the punk genre.

Most of the people i’ve seen talking about this album on social media were really negative about it… Calling it corny and trying to be different. It was really nice to see your guy’s first impression of the songs, because it was really similar to my reaction and feelings when I first heard it. I think my personal connection to this album, the timing this album came out at the point in my life makes me love this album more than most. Ik it’s not perfect (if you think so that’s great) but the topics on this album especially on Familiarity hits me so hard. I love this album, so versatile, Teezo’s vocals are angelic.
