This was a nice happy chat with Dad. He gets his fill in and declines an invitation to hear one of my poems 😆. A lot of laughing and smiling. Good vibes today.

How about taking an aspect of his former life that might jog his memory. Could be a song, his wedding day, a professional achievement to jumpstart the convo. Music, for example, in dementia patients seems to awaken something in them.
@nataliep30383 ай бұрын
It's amazing to me how people think that someone who has been taking care of a family member for years has not thought and tried the simplest things. lol BY THE WAY he can't hear and he doesn't wear a hearing aid.
@DJ-bj8ku3 ай бұрын
@@nataliep3038What a weird reply. It’s amazing to me that you’d be offended by helpful suggestions for topics to stimulate his memory since every video seems to revolve around him being surprised about his age and where he lives. And he’s hard of hearing, not deaf. Get with it, honey.
@nataliep30383 ай бұрын
@@DJ-bj8ku My point is that caregivers know the people care for. To think that a obvious soution would not have been tried is insulting. And the reason Dan says he does not listen to music is because he does not hear well. I was just explaining to you since you seemed to think that they would never have thought of that.
