You can run Windows 95 in VMWare.

Quarker You can't do it with modern computers 2001-2014 because there are not any drivers for windows 98

Quarker You've got to install Windows 95 first. Don't make its C: partition too large so you can load some other OSes. Then install Windows NT, Linux, or whatever you want. GRUB should be able to work fine with it, at least it did in my setup of Windows 98, Windows XP, and Ubuntu. If your computer is newer than about 2003, you'll likely not have drivers for stuff. I've found just running it in Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 using the guest additions from Virtual PC 2004 to be the best solution on modern computers.

Oh I used to have Windows 98 on a dell latitude laptop, but one day I decided to install Windows xp on it. Windows xp didn't have a activation code so after 30 days it doesn't work. I took the laptop apart, took the hard drive out and the ram. at least I can re-enjoy Windows 98 with this video! For your first video Ben, good job!

You've been able to create text documents from the Windows Explorer since Windows 2000/ME.

I'm a pretty proficient computer user, and I often use that method to make text files. It just depends on which program I'm currently using when I need to make one. If I'm in a text editor, I'll just click new, but if I'm viewing a folder, I right click and choose New > Text Document. I love having multiple ways of doing things.

I'm curious. Why does Diana use Windows 8.0? It's just going to be in the same place as Windows XP in around a year in a half. Windows 8.1 is a free update, and it's largely the same outside of Metro. With Classic Shell, I'd doubt she'd notice the difference. The advantage is that new apps target either Windows 7 or Windows 8.1. The best updates apply to Windows 8.1, while only vital security updates are being ported to Windows 8. Plus, if the rumored 8.2 comes out that restores the start menu, it will likely require Windows 8.1.

I definitely suggest that you use VMware Player, not VirtualBox. VMware Tools works on Windows 98, but VirtualBox Guest Additions does not.
