When punching out all the components, it’s handy to put the rest of the cardboard inside the box under the insert: that way it makes the insert higher, flush with the lid of the box, and the components stay in place if you store the game vertically or shake the box (up to a certain point, of course).

Looks fine but such a big box not holding sleeved cards... I am no friend of half empty boxes.
