DC this episode was great. Summer you're a natural with the camera and editing. Roman getting the last line is PRICELESS. He's family now. DC love listening to your humor and the reference to the 3 Stooges " I am trying to think but nothing is happening" that hit a memorable time back in the day.

For those who don’t understand about raking hay it has to be dry enough to bale it ironically if it’s too wet and you compress it and Bale The dampness under compression actually makes heat and the bale could start on fire the more times you have to rake it or turn it over to dry it. The more it cost to make the Bail the less money you make when you sell the bale

Great to see Summer, sure miss her channel. Edward such a handsome boy. My air compressor hasn't been drained either in years. The petcock is broken.
@ecleveland1Ай бұрын
I’ve seen hay bales spontaneously combust. You can’t imagine the heat they put off. You need a good pumping truck and a lot of water to knock the fire down.

Best way to get the water out of the tank is to have some air pressure in the tank when you open the drain valve
@larryhager7109Ай бұрын
Ya always make sure the vehicle is running when you pop that cap. I've seen it happen a few times and it wasn't pretty. My grandpa taught me that back in the day when they'd empty the radiator out every night when it got cold enough.
@markvreekenАй бұрын
This is not a good idea You should make sure its not hot and off and therefore it won't be pressurised. If its running its likely got some pressure in it.

You may want to get your compressor inspected and/or replaced; that water colour is an indication that the inner tank has corrosion occurring which impacts the tank's structural psi capability
@Showboat_SixАй бұрын
Be careful with a rusty tank air compressor, I lost a friend when a tank ruptured from rust and some of the shrapnel killed him. That water was very rusty….
@jimmccormick6091Ай бұрын
Those tanks have a plug (as DC showed us- it is actually called a "pitcock"..... I just like the word....pitcock..... drain that pitcock! Always check your pitcock....... the pitcock is NOT inside the cockpit! ...ok, I'll stop now.... The shame of those CH compressors, is they really are poorly made junk, meant to be thrown away. They are so cheap, you dont even think twice about tossing them, but, yes, a rusty tank could wind up sending someone to their maker... that's why ya gotta check the pit...never mind...

We always like your videos. Especially the honesty telling us about things like those wind turbines income. Take your neighbor. One specific example, an Iowa farmer, Evie Haupt, mentioned in a CBS News article, receives around $35,000 per year from three wind turbines on her 160-acre farm, which increases annually with inflation.

Yes a small compressor can overfill ag tires. My wild guess that tire should be under 25 psi? That compressor likely could fill that tire to around 100 psi. Far more then tire, or rim rated for. It might take a half hour.
@jansmit4628Ай бұрын
Rusty water coming out of the tank? Then rust has started, making the wall thinner and thinner. If that continues over time, you are becomming the owner of an dangerous air pressured bomb. Best practice: drain the tank on a regular basis directly after use.

I drain my compressor tank every few weeks and get close to same amount of rusty looking water each time. I’m in a very humid climate so it’s worse here I’m sure. May look into a tankless battery air machine…I got one and they’re handy. Just set the pressure you want and hit start and walk away until done. No good for pneumatic tools but sure handy for tires and you have a bunch of em.

Daddy Cornstar, I'm one of those people who read the manuals. I'm pretty sure my compressor manual says to drain the tank every time it is used. I always get some water out of it, even here in dry AZ. It might be time to replace yours - that was a lot of rusty water you drained.
@Peter-gi3reАй бұрын
Agreed, I hope he reads this. When those small tanks get old and rusty inside they have been known to literally blow up. I watched another KZbinr recently who had a lucky escape with a blown tank. he had it on video when it happened and it was like a bomb going off. It had a pinhole from rust and it finally blew. The other thing that is very dangerous is putting air in a tire like that which has been sitting flat for a long time. Not sure if a combine tire like that takes a lot of air pressure. I know from as early as when I was a young kid my dad warned me about not having your face near or towards a tire when you are putting high pressure in. He had a friend lose eyesight in both eyes when a tire blew up. I also know another man myself who had a very severe injury to his face over 30 years ago when a tire blew up on him. That guy retired last year and finally went through surgery to his jaw and major work on his teeth to correct damage he suffered 30 years ago. All the work on his teeth and jaw bone cost him over $100K. Edit: 😂I see I am not the only one with comments about these issues

Daddy cornstar, I like to attach things like the John Deere emblem with Silicone. You can't use too much. The cleaner the surfaces the better, and wax is not good. And best of all, you can still get it off if you want/need to. A plastic coated metal fishing leader works great. Or a thin piece of stainless steel wire. Silicone is great for this! I find it works better than double back sticky foam. You just need a 24 hour period to let it setup Hold it in place with tape.
