I play impact as it doesn't trigger fatigue for the melee. You could get charged, fight normally, then charge back and still get the free impact hits. Entertaining game and I liked the way you set and used the scenery.

Thanks! I think it makes sense that the charging unit would be fatigued. If the target unit survives and fights back they would be fatigued as well. I think OPR is in the process of reworking impact/phalanx.

Question: It looks like the two armies have different colors rimming the bases. Is that correct? I've already decided that all my armies will have plain black bases, and I was thinking of using colors on the base rims to differentiate the factions. Did you get there first?

My AH have yellow rims. It's just for aesthetics though. I did use different colors for the base rims on the grunts to make it easier to tell which are shooters/assault at a glance.

Excellent BatRep! Two quick question/comments - were you guys having the charged units take their 3” countercharge movement? Also, were you limiting the Melee participants to just minis in base to base contact? It ought to be any minis within 2” of an enemy model. Again, an excellent batrep - it moved along nicely with plenty of action and you mentioned the rules & reasoning as you played which is great for newcomers! - Larry

Thanks for the comments! We usually do the 3" counter charges off camera or I speed up the footage. And yea we use the 2" rules for melee combat.
