The better way to put it. Is you don't idiolize the jerk. Dan isn't a character you're supposed to see as a good person. They show he's an awful human being doing awful things. And, you're just here to watch the train wreck, and sometimes it feels good for what he does is appropriate for the right person.

Dan vs. is such an underated series! It feels like something straight out of an adult comedy series, but doesn't push too hard into raunchy territory so that Dan can be a well-balanced jerk/edgy archetype without having to go too far.

Um, the best moment in Dan Vs. the Bank is when Dan screamed "I'LL EAT YOUR CHILDREN!" after getting thrown out of the bank. From personal experience though, don't try to pull a stunt like that in public unless you want to get thrown out of a mall.

Definitely one of my all time favorite shows. Although I always thought it could have been better as an adult cartoon on adult swim, no it doesn't have to be as raunchy as family guy, but I always felt keeping it a kids show (technically) always held itself back. Kinda disappointed you didn't put Dan vs the Boss, Chris, or the high school reunion, but we all have our different opinions and there's so many good episodes, it be hard to chose the best 15.

as I'm sure a large portion of episodes were also considered. I suppose I'm just a little disappointed since you put Dan vs elise's parents as number 1. Don't get me wrong, I understand where you're coming from and by all means like what you want. I just personally didn't care for that episode, since other than the bit with Dan submitting in that doctored tape of Don being in the mafia, I felt most of the humor in that episode to be kind of dry and tasteless and the story was kind of overly simplified considering how over the top a lot of the stories can be and how minor concepts like Dan wanting revenge on a dentist, can spiral out of control about him being a super villain. But then again that's more of a personal opinion.

The show has two major things going for it. Being relatable and being mean spirited. Every show tries to be relatable to some capacity, but the cynical mean spiritedness really sets it apart and makes it far more memorable than a lot of modern cartoons. a fine line the show walks with ease showing how much of a jerk Dan is while still making him someone worthy of rooting for.
