Think you are joking. But that was kinda what happened. Disney approached Daft Punk to make the soundtrack for the movie with a large orchestra. But since Daft Punk always wanted to have full control and for it to be only the two of them, they first said no but later agreed to make the music. So in a way Daft Punk allowed Disney to work with them.

Man, I can't believe that Tron: Legacy was released 10 years ago. Feels like this movie came out like a year ago or earlier. This is one of the best sci-fi action film I've seen and it was so spectacular to watch it. The special effects in this movie was way ahead of its time and it still holds up till this day. I've greatly enjoyed all Star Trek, and Aliens... except AVP2, and Altered Carbon, Star Gate Franchises, Foundation on AppleTV, and many others. Hope you keep finding what you're looking for. I liked both, but the first Tron said many similar things in a broad way I still enjoy. This newer Tron was enjoyable. No notes. I also wanted more consumer/coder commentary from the first film, but it is subtext I can draw from the film. Nice. I really enjoyed The Expanse show and books so far. Hope to hear what else you enjoy. I didn't even mention anime like Fullmetal Alchemists' OG and Brotherhood hold on my heart. Appleseed, and Neon Genesis Evangelion! Firefly-Take my love take my land-take me where I cannot stand-I don' care I'm still free-you can' take the sky from me-e. Battlestar Galactica had more religious stuff I'd rather be played for laughs like Starship Troopers 3-BUT Battlestar Galactica pulls it off but do not watch it with the contemporary comercials or with a talking head commentary. The show has pacing and thriller/mystery elements that recaps BLOW. I feel like I'm missing something. I mean Terminator was great.... was...

I personally don't get why some people hate this movie. I think it's a good movie. My only little problem was how the character of Flynn was a bit different. In the first movie his character was a cool kinda guy with a sense of humor but not so much in the sequel. Realistically, a person would change being trapped inside the grid like that for years without seeing your family, dealing with Clu and everything else. I just missed that part of his character. Besides that it was a fun entertaining film.

I was house sharing with a student from Nigeria who told me he'd never seen 3D film before and really wanted to watch one. I then booked the tickets (as a treat for my friend ) to watch this in full IMAX at the BFI IMAX Cinema in Waterloo, London and boy what an experience that was watching this film how it was meant to be watched. My friend was over-joyed and blown away as was I . Wow! For me personally was the best 3D film experience ever (and I mean proper 3D optimisation) and it was such a joy to see my friend so happy. It was almost like re-living a childhood like innocence and these are the kind of movies that really allow you to do that.
