There's actually special dialogue if you never talked to any villagers (on a different account) and talk to them on Halloween with the Jack costume. They'll panic, realize you're not Jack, and then wonder who you are. It was quite interesting and it's tempting to do it again.

I know a few more: Muffy's birthday is on Valentine's Day, and she'll remark upon that during her birthday celebration. Also, I don't know if it's a thing in New Horizons, but in the past octopus villagers would get mad if they saw you catch an octopus. Also also, if you bonk Wisp with a net, he says something like "don't confuse me with my spirit pieces!”

@@Chubby_Bub Rarity is different for villagers though. When villager hunting, an algorithm selects a species, then a villager from that species. This means you’re more likely to get a specific octopus than a specific cat.

My absolute favorite ACNH dialogue was from Lucky. I once talked to him while standing net to a throwback dino screen, and he proceeded to tell me about his thesis "Emotionalism in Toy Furniture: Recapturing Childhood with Reclaimed Materials". It was absolutely the wildest thing I've seen on Animal Crossing, and I love that the stars aligned so perfectly that I got to witness it!

I share a birthday with Boomer, who was celebrating with Kabuki while Shari, Megan, and Lobo were celebrating mine. I was a bit disappointed that he didn't show, but the next day, I ran into him and he told me, "I didn't get the chance yesterday, so I'll say it now! Happy birthday!!!" I love seeing rare dialogue. My brother got Isabelle on his island the same day as the fireworks festival, and so we saw that cool dialogue. I’ve also had flick on my island the day before the bug off, and he mentions how kind the player is for always talking to him and encourages you to participate in the bug off that comes the next day

I don't know if it counts as "rare", but I found something that was new to me just today when I was in terraforming mode and laid down on a hay bed, wondering what would happen if I were to close the app now. Turns out you get a message saying there might be an issue with the signal and you should try getting up and maybe then it'll work. Additionally, if you try entering the fitting room in Able's while still having the Island Designer app open, Mabel will close the app for you. While I do think the dialogue in this game is severely lacking, it's rather charming to discover something new every now and then!

Yes, I was wondering about this too! I've tried decorating my beaches already but Gulliver still spawns on decorated areas sometimes. Like, I have to 'remove' some items placed down just to talk to him because he spawns in between them... Was wondering if there was a way we could 'block' him from spawning or control where he will spawn...

I share a game with my family, and my brother decided to name the island “jelly”, no caps. Anyway, I talk to Piper white bird villager I adore cuase she’s so expressive and just very unique dialogue, and she asks me how well I know what my brother’s character likes. I say pretty good. And she’s says something like ‘I expected it. I’m so “jelly” of your relationship!” Jelly in blue. This peppy bird not only made a pun with the island’s name, but used the playful version of jealous that was in line with her character. Suffice to say I freaked out cause I only noticed the second time she made this joke with a different question. Cause how?? That’s got to be some complexed ai going on? What’s the chance she’d make a pun with an island name that’s different per player?? Hello?? Are you alive?? So… I’ve been looking at her a bit differently lately.. Gave her an item she was looking at at the nook shop. She gave me this neat vest. - Also I learned today I learned she has a pet stag beetle named Piper. I want to try giving her one next time I find one.

I love stuff like this, the devs really did try to account for every feasible situation. One of my favorites is in New Leaf, where if you're a new player who hasn't upgraded out of the temporary tent yet, she'll make a remark on it and ask if it's a New Year's resolution for you. It's really fun seeing all this dialogue for circumstances that are unlikely or impossible to happen. I actually got the "cramped" ceremony dialogue for a ramp that wasn't really close to any other projects, but because of the terrain.

There is this extremely rare message that is more of a "you have to be there at right place,at the right time." situation where if you were playing New Horizons when server maintenance for the game was about to start,a pop-up message similar to when a friend comes over or leaves would pop up saying "Server maintenance is starting soon!" or something like that. I once saw a picture of some ACNH dialogue that I could’ve sworn was an edit, until I experienced it myself. I finally got this one villager (I did not invite onto the island) to leave, and the very day she asked to go and I encouraged her to, I called up Stitches to the campsite so he could move in Immediately. He was quick to accept the offer since she was already on the way out and said he’d ask the cow to trade houses with her. He returned from asking right away and reported that the cow was more than willing to move already because she said she was scared of all the ‘night clowns’ roaming around in the dark. The WHAT? I kid you not. This was REAL DIALOGUE.

Such as campsite visitors, if flick, labelle, and other npcs are there. infrastructures being built, along with an option to skip as this would make the dialogue far longer the players who would just skip anyway.

One time Phoebe and Truffles got into an argument and I had to give Truffles Phoebe's gift to her, and thats how I got Truffles photo. She said that she was giving me her photo without the blue letters, and she actually said something about her photo (it was pretty rare so i should consider it treasure, then she said she was kidding) I'm not really sure if that was rare dialogue but I think it most likely is

There's also unique dialogue for meeting a villager for the first time while they are sick. Saw it with my sister's character and Julian. He gives the usual dialogue at first but then interrupts it with a sneeze and apologizes.

You should do a part 2 for this! Some examples I've found; If villagers are touring your house and see their own photo If they're in the last fossil room and look at their own species silhouette If you make two villagers on your island be roommates in HHP

I just discovered this one: if u try to turn off terraforming while sitting down inside (idk if this works outside) but it’ll say that u have a connection error. This was just an interesting piece of dialogue I thought.

Something v cute that happened last year was when a friend visited my island the day after thier birthday, all of my then-villagers (Ive got. Four of them now, I think) wished them a belated happy birthday! Also, I've had the dialogue of gifting the same clothes they're wearing to a villager by accident. It was buck, and he's great :D

Another probably rare Dialogue comes from blatters when you donate the 15 specimen to build the museum at the very first day he moved to the island in his tent. He will show his excitement that you are so enthusiastic Blut collecting all the insects and fishes. :D
