Wow, this brings me way back. I was in bands that opened several shows for her and my daughter was also a huge fan, so I have probably seen her live about a dozen times. I 1st cameacross Martina back in 1994. I had been given tickets to Garth Brooks in the Point Depot in Dublin. When I heard who was doing support I went off to the music store across the street and bought the album "The Way That I Am". I listened to every song and loved them all. The photograph on the cover is awesome but we all know they are touched up and brushed up. When I got to see her in person I was awestruck by her voice and her beauty. To this day (30 years later) I cannot stop thinking about those eyes of hers and just how stunningly beautiful she was.

Since first hearing Independence Day Martina has really blown me away, its the most emotional voice I have ever heard. In the "Heartbreaker" front she has already smashed Reba out of the park with this, Gods Will and the biggest of them all Concrete Angel On the looks front she hammers Reba as well, mind you she is 11 years younger, however Martina is up to 2nd from nowhere on my eye candy the only one above her is 16 years younger. I haven't heard enough cover versions or "Happy Stuff" to judge on that but its looking more and more like, Reba your days are numbered. After another couple, including a great cover of Rose Garden, Martina took favourite singer about 36 hours ago
