Doing a grand job there, thanks for sharing...I've had my 1992 TDS for 4 years now and love it. Luckily it seems to have been looked after and I've just tried to improve it during my ownership, this included cleaning and re-painting the complete underside and chassis which was in really good condition. It has it's original sills and exterior bodywork and just gone through another MOT yesterday with no advisories. Also done a fair bit of detailing under the bonnet, and recently fitted a new starter motor, it's so useful and although I do very few miles it does get used on a regular basis throughout the year.

Your going to have the one of the best remaining fourtraks in the uk. Great job

Thank you! It’ll certainly be an odd feeling having a Fourtrak that is 100% free of corrosion issues!

@@JohnnyGetsCash we actually had a brand new fourtak back in 1992 and it was the best vehical we ever had it would pull a 3.5ton loaded trailer all day long.wish we kept it.

@@robertanderson-yx8mo I know hindsight is a wonderful thing, but I often wonder if anyone who owned one brand new had the inclination to apply some really thorough and proper corrosion preventative. If so, that truck (being an original example) would be a very valuable piece now!

@@JohnnyGetsCash believe it or not there was not a spot of corrosion on in in 10 years when we had it .we had two new landrover 90 s aswell and they were going rusty on the chassis from brand new.The landrovers were hopeless just constantly breaking,but the fourtrak just had ware and tare items.

Indeed, we can say that he done the job almost no one done on a fourtrack but is basically what we all know we should have done to fix it first good 😅 GG for the courage mate 👌🏻

Keep going on this project, I share your love of the Fourtrak and can’t wait to see the finished item. I agree those graphics were nasty. You going to keep it Johnny ?

It's turned into a bit of a labour of love...When i started this project I didn't think i'd have to go to the lengths that i have but i've come this far so i'll certainly finish it! I decided to do this build as i've always promised myself the 'ultimate' Fourtrak (having sold so many over the years), so the plan is very much to keep it, but I know that once it's finished, i'll most likely be tempted by a sturdy offer and end up selling it 😂
@darrenhaywood926010 ай бұрын
@@JohnnyGetsCash always the same buddy, a big job always turns into a monster task 😊. I am sure now you have come this far you won’t be tempted to skim over the rest. It should be one of the best of its kind, especially in this country when it’s done. Drive it, and enjoy it and then see how you feel. I know you flip cars but it would be hard to let go of it when its done, even with a sturdy offer. At least a potential buyer will know exactly what’s been done 😃. I for one will be jealous of you when I see it finished 👍

Nah great work as always I imagiine some enthusiasts might be losing it over the gel badges however I also agree they're awful somewhat reminds you of those unique off multi colour shell suits from the 70s/80s I thought they were atrocious back then didn't stop some people from wearing them however there is no accounting for taste lol looking forward to seeing more on this

This Fourtrak was always planned to be the ultimate Fourtrak for me, so every element will done to my own personal tastes and those shell suit gel badges just needed to go! 😂 cheers!
