just got one of these 1.0 Toyota Duet 1999 here in NZ. it has rod knock. I wonder if its worth fixing. Plan to pull the pan off and see if it's just one bearing or more. Appreciate any suggestions! Excellent vid by the way mate.

Replace the whole show, rods, bearings, pistons, rings, oil pump filter and don't forget to thoroughly clean out the oil pump and everything else. I have a Daihatsu Ayla 1.0 and these little 3 cylinder buggers are sludge makers to the max. You'll see when you crack it open.
