Interesting video. I am now hunting up a good cylinder head to do the same thing but may remove less material from the chamber. I may cc the head and see what is needed to raise the compression as well. I will be going further with back cutting the valves and spending a bit more time in the pockets. I wish there was a way to get bigger cams like you got. So hard to find now unless I get stock cams reprofiled.

Try using Nissan march piston 73mm ...if your aiming for higher boost setup...it can support 2.5bar- 3bar of boost

this engine compression is default 10:1 so now you reduced the compression to 9:1 ?? why would you do that?

@@Jakey032 you remove some aluminium at the top cylinder create more space for more air, but more space at top will reduced the air compression so you need to a longer piston to reach the top to maintain 10:1 compression right? or you deliberate want to reduced the compression for more boosting? tell me if i'm wrong. Daihatsu design the top cylinder for reason is to make sure the cylinder volume maintain air compression 10:1. now you increase the air volume that doesn't compress completely. meaning performance will not show any different unless you turbocharge it.

@@jj-jo6wr sorry mate, yes it will be turbocharged. This engine will likely be pushing 20+psi so the chambers in theory need to be smoother and be able to flow more air efficiently then factory chambers can. so along with longer duration camshafts the loss of compression will be compensated. :)
