As gentle and relaxing music plays in the background, I'll demonstrate each step of the face Gua Sha routine, making it incredibly easy for you to follow along. This ancient Chinese practice is the perfect way to wind down. Promoting circulation, releasing tension, and fostering a sense of overall well-being. I encourage you to embrace this self-care practice with an open heart and an intention to cultivate gratitude.

Most common asked questions:
Does it really work?
- The results of this practice vary, as it focuses on de-puffing and draining fluid from your face to give a more sculpted appearance. Some individuals may experience more noticeable results if they naturally have puffiness due to water retention from various health reasons. However, it's important to note that this practice does not "move fat" or alter your bone structure. Besides the cosmetic benefits, there are also meditation and mindfulness advantages to doing this, leaving you feeling relaxed and grounded afterward. I always hope that viewers can appreciate this aspect as well.
Upwards motion or downwards motion on the neck?
- When performing lymphatic drainage, it's best to massage downwards. On the other hand, for anti-aging purposes, massaging upwards (working against gravity) is recommended. However, it's essential to remember that massages are versatile and not one-size-fits-all. These videos are designed to be easy for viewers to follow along, but you can always customise the massage to your preferences. Always listen to your body and pay attention to how it feels.
Do you have to use face oil?
- No, it's not necessary to use a face oil, but it's recommended to use at least a moisturiser or something that provides a slippery surface to work on. This helps prevent tugging and dragging on your skin during the massage.
What oil am I using?
- These are the oils I have used throughout my videos. For reference I have dry sensitive skin. Khiels Sativa Hemp Seed oil, The Ordinary Rose Hip Seed Oil & Elf’s All the Feels Facial Oil.
Which Gua Sha tool is best? Jade or Rose quartz?
- In my personal opinion, it doesn't really matter which stone you use as long as it is smooth and free of scratches or bumps. Some people believe in crystal healing, and if you subscribe to that belief, then the choice of stones might matter more. However, if the purpose is solely for de-puffing the face, any smooth stone should be sufficient for the job.
What is better? Jade roller or Gua Sha stone?
- It depends on your preferences and needs. Jade rollers are great for rolling in skincare products, especially when used over a sheet mask. They can also be a better option if you have joint issues and find it challenging to use a Gua Sha stone. Personally, I enjoy Gua Sha more because it feels like a massage, and the wiggles at the end provide tension relief.
I initially began doing face Gua Sha for cosmetic purposes, aiming to achieve a more 'snatched' appearance. However, I soon realized that the meditation and mindfulness aspect of the practice was more beneficial to me. Moving forward, that's what I want to focus on. Thank you for following along with me.
Disclaimer: I am not a licensed Esthetician, or Gua Sha massage professional. Massages are so versatile and it is never a “one size fits all”. These videos are meant for people who just want to relax after a long day and have a simple follow along tutorial without thinking too much. This video is not meant to cure or treat any skin issues. For real treatment and diagnoses, please consult your dermatologist or licensed medical professional.

Sharing daily my textual results with u guys for a month I’ve been trying new healthy and more like selfcare habits this year! So here goes 1st day- i can tell u those 5 mins happen in a blink!! I thought it would take me a lot more time?! Hahaha my face feel like somebody gave me a massage 😅 2nd day- i did it twice today! In the morning before my makeup, then right now before going to bed, a lot easier than yesterday tbh 3rd day- morning and night ✅ i realize my face feel warm after this routine almost like the blood in my face start circulating maybe? Hahaha hope so 😊 4rd day- ok i realize this massage works really good but also like pushes the cream and all my skin products into the pores? Maybe im wrong, i noticed a lightly change in the texture of my skin…morning and night done 5th day- so im getting used to this routine :) im liking it, i find it really simple to follow now, i suggest you guys to wash the guasha after each use! 🫧 morning and nigh done :) 6 and 7 day - sadly i only could do it just once these days cause job kill me 😭 but I’ll try do it twice the future days 8 and 9 day- still doing it, im really frustrated cause i’ve been doing it only once this days ;( baby steps for mee hahaha but in loving this new habit 10 and 11 day- ok i’ve been noticing it a lot more flexibility in my eyes area an also in my nose, also i highly suggest you guys to do it in front of a mirror so you can see if your technic is correct (Little update, i’ve been lost cause i’ve been busy but i’ve been doing it and girl girl!!!) Day 12 to 15- ok hear me out, the texture on my face is getting so much better almost like the guasha helps my skincare products to get there under my skin hahaha, my face looks so clean even without makeup, the last 3 days i was in a trip and i couldn’t bring my skincare or my guasha but guys i took pictures those days!!! And omg my cheekbones are getting so good 🤗 i was like “are those my cheeks?” Also i started doing workout today and im hurting 😅 but hey im really happy i’m getting used to with these new habits 😊 Well its been a month ❤ im in shock cause i started this with a lot of expectations and im telling you right now it was worthed it, even those nights i have 0 energy to do it, i feel so much confidence not only because my face looks more slimmer but cause it looks sooo much healthier for real, even without the makeup, such a great combo with skincare. I highly reccomend you to do it… Be consistent you can do it 🫰🏼 Tips: •Do it twice if you can morning and night if you have time •do it after your skincare •wash te guasha after every use * truly sorry if i have grammatical errors in this but english is not my first language… thanks

Yea, I did the quick 5 min twice a day for two weeks like others have suggested. And my turkey neck no longer has that extra skin hanging. I also see that my jowls are not as prominent. I keep hoping to eventually see my swollen, puffy eyes gone or not appear as puffy. I am 72. Now, I don't look 42 after my two weeks of doing this, but others have noticed my efforts, so that is something to crow about. Hope this gives you a little hope. lol

The results of this practice vary, as it focuses on de-puffing and draining fluid from your face to give a more sculpted appearance.
