Daily Audi A4 B7 GFB DV+ Diverter valve install! Before, after & unplugged for max turbo DOSE!!

Ok so the Daily A4 B7 Avant has all ways been a little underwhelming.. and that's exactly what a boost leak from a split oem turbo diverter valve will do!
Couple of videos portraying the sounds a bad diverter valve makes, the DV+ with the solenoid unplugged (soooo much turbo flutter) and again with it all back together 100%
Break & upgrade is the key here, utilizing the GFB DV+ to not only fix the gaping hole in my turbo system but also future proof the setup.

a cut wire on the diverter valve!?!? Hahahahaha I've just tried to replace mine, but I didn't know where it was - I ended up fucking around with a solenoid around a pressure reservoir hehehehe BUT tightening some loose jubilee clips has helped the turbo. I'll do it tomorrow - and I think I might go for one of those air intake filter things you have there

Under the passenger side look straight up between the radiator and it’s basically right next to the oil line

@@jorianlongardner934 I've just been under again, and can I hell see it. I'm in the UK, right hand drive, and I'm sure the turbo is on my right, when I'm lying under the car. I can see a solenoid, and a reservoir that's a black ball. But nothing looking like a diverter valve. It's annoying me 😁 Thank you for your reply. KZbin didn't notify me that you'd written. I haven't given up yet, but I'm questioning if my car has a diverter valve. It's an A4 B7, 2006. TDI cabriolet. Very annoying this. By the way, your car looks very clean underneath, next to mine. I've got some oil leaks from somewhere. I did fix a one on the rocker box gasket, and that stopped a slow drip. But my car's got problems like. 😔😔😔 It makes you feel like a right tit, when you don't know something 😂

a diverter valve isnt a fancy way of saying blow off valve, theyre two different things bud. one diverters boost pressure back into the intake, the other releases it to atmosphere.

Incorrect. An oem Blow off valve recirculates back into the intake stream, the same as a Diverter valve. The difference is namely that a BOV or Bypass valve is pneumaticly actuated where as a diverter valve is electronic, also that the diverter is generally mounted on the compressor housing not the charge piping. Both BOV and Diverter valve has variants of recirculated or atmospheric boost pressure release.

@@Carls_Builtincorrect, diverter valves can also be pneumatic, previous generation Audi/Volkswagen used pneumatic diverter valves. Blow off valves = atmospheric dump, diverter valve = recirculated. Stop spreading incorrect information as fact it’s toxic to this community.

Yeah man, the spacer is used to convert the diverter valve into effectively a traditional blow off valve! So instead of recirculated pressure release it vents to atmosphere for that classic psshhhhhhhh sound 👌

@@roderickmartinez4715 I don't believe you do get a check engine but you'd suffer from rich mixtures during throttle off shifting etc unless your car is tuned maf-less via speed density or map. Guess the spacers for specific setups more than just to make the noise.
