great vids, your channel should do well! Saw it on bronco parts group on FB. I just picked up a nice 96 Eddie Bauer 5.0, so I'm going to be doing all the same stuff this summer/fall you are making vids of. Have owned a full sized Jeep Cherokee (79 amc 360) for 14 years, and have done everything on that, just getting into Broncos.

1996 Bronco XLT OD Light flashing Hard Shifts No speedo or dome lights Also, Fuse 8 blows within minutes of replacement. I replaced speed sensor on the rear diff. No change. Any thoughts?

Speed sensor was a waste. Sorry. It’s your Psom. Blinking stalk means ur getting a signal from rear diff

I apologize if this is a stupid question, but what is psom? My ‘95 is shifting hard early into driving it and will have the overdrive “off” blinking at me as well.

The small computer right behind your speedo. It’s a simple plug n play part. We sell used Psom.

My odometer went out not showing numbers and overdrive light flashing I switched out the vss started working again for a few months but now went out again, could it be the psom?

More than likely. In the meantime- disconnect battery. Zip tie cables together for 20 minutes. Then cut zip tie. Reconnect battery. Post results

Question, I have a 95 EB the third brake light bulb blows and then I get hard shifting from a stop or when I go into reverse, otherwise it shifts fine. The bulb will last for a short time and blow again, by short time I mean maybe a month. Any idea what causes this? I do know this will affect the torque converters that's the hard shift I feel.

Brake bulbs act as a resistor to the automatic transmission (from what I learned from these forums) u might have a short somewhere causing the bulb to blow, then there goes the hard shifting. Check ur 3rd brake light wiring and make sure it's not pinched anywhere to ground out. Have u replaced bulb with an LED? Is it burned black or just burned out?

Ive been having a problem with my 95, where in the mornings on my way to work, around 6 in the morning, ill have hard shifts for a mile and a half and it quits, no problems for the rest of the day, but only does it early in the mornings

If you haven’t recently changed your tire size or differential ratios. I would suggest looking at the VSS that I mentioned in this video. It’s a $25 part. Take a look at your gearshift lever and see if your overdrive button is blinking

@@BroncosandPartsGarage overdrive button blinks when its shifting hard, also its a new vss sensor, and it does have tires that are 2 inches taller than factory

@@huntersweat6193 you’ll want to message a guy named Lefty Castle on Broncos and Parts FB group. He is. PSOM programming expert. While it’a done from your trip odometer buttons in your cluster, I’d wait before you try it urself. Any change in tire height requires a program

So after you upnplugged all the fuses and put them back in and did whatever you did under the dash and the problem went away did it stay away? Or did it return? If it returned, did you ever figure out what the problem was??

Went away for 2 months. Then came back.

So I have a question about my 1996 f150 power door locks, if I use the power door lock button, only my passenger door unlocks, the driver side door lock bumps a bit but does not go all the way up. The only way I can get it to unlock is if I use the key and shove on the door right underneath the key hole. Would you have any idea what the problem is.

I learned that if the Overdrive button is blinking that means the VSS is working. So it must be in your PSOM
