You guys made a mistake with this review when it comes to the Trunk "kick Open" feature (2:00 mins into the video). The reason why there's no "lock" button is because as long as the trunk's door closes (and the rest of the doors are closed as well while the key is with you), the car senses it and beeps once to let you know on the matter. And when you walk away 5 feet from the car, all doors locks automatically and they car will Beep again to let you know.

I drive a Ram 1500 and don't get me wrong I love my truck and will probably always daily drive a truck, but we use my wife's car for the most part when we go places together or as a family (unless its something where we need the truck's size or capabilities), so its nice that its fun to drive. She keeps it in comfort mode all the time but I switch it to sport/sport+ when I drive and its great! @@Caleb_Johnson

I just traded in my 2019 RDX for the new 2023 RX and I kinda regretted…felt RX wasn’t as responsive and turning wasn’t as smooth. RDX is smaller than RX but is much more sportier.

Nice review. Couldn’t help but notice some more enthusiasm from both of you on this vehicle in comparison to your 2019 review. Did you grow a liking to it over the last 3 years or is it because this review is more in the context of a daily driver vehicle?

I liked it a lot in 2019 and I think I kept liking it more in comparable suv reviews after that. I think I even said I'd recommend it over an X3 at one point lol - Jakub

The lock button for the tailgate (a narrow button) is located to the right of the open button (wider button). In my view that's more useful as you don't need to walk back to the rear doors to lock if you are standing behind the tailgate and it was not opened.

Not true on the trunk locking park there is a setting in the infotainment set it once and forget it anytime you ever walk away from the car the car auto locks you don’t have to touch any sensors or do anything other than walk away from the car. This goes for the doors and the trunk as well

The sensor under the trunk is also used to close the trunk, although it's not always working. All and all it's a great car and Acura should give it a type S with similar hp as civic type R

All Honda / Acura products with smart entry have walk away auto lock. So, for most people that'll be enabled and there would be no reason to push the lock button on the trunk. But otherwise, great review as always!

Another fun fact…..the lock button is next to the open lift gate button so you don’t have to go to a door handle to lock the car back. Also, it has a feature where it auto locks once the doors close and you and the key are at least 5ft away from the vehicle. You’ll hear the first beep when the doors close and the second beep after you walk away.

Finally a RDX review. Thanks, I plan on picking one up this summer. As a married couple looking at this car, I am happy that it doesn't have built in baby shades, those are terrible visually and functionally, unless you have baby's. I agree that the infotainment system will take some learning, but I plug my phone and listen to Spotify and use Google maps. I wish trunk space and SH-AWD were talked about more, because those are also top in its class.

It’s a handsome car but the wheels look boring. I’m a fan of the interior. Was hoping for a a Type S version but the weak lane centering might be a deal breaker for me since I tend to do a good bit of distance driving. Have you guys heard anything about a Type S. Doesn’t seem like the bolstering is doing a good job of keeping Yuri in place. I feel like Jakub’s seat is usually just past the B pillar in vehicles and I’m wondering if he had the driver’s seat in his best seating position when he sat in the back. Does the red look as good as the GV70 red? It doesn’t really translate for me on camera. Love how Jakub laughed at Yuri & the lock button 😁

@@MMM-wh9iz 100% I have owned 2 Honda's and now a 2021 RDX and the Acura is definitely a tier above any top trim Honda. @dakkmann2 жыл бұрын
Lock button is on the outside of the hatch. Next to the open button. You just have to wait for the hatch to close. 😏
@THEBIGLYO2 жыл бұрын
The auto lock is quite annoying for a family with a baby as the car doesn't seem to have a proximity sensor that stops it from locking at awkward times. My wife used to get locked out all the time and I even found myself having to unlock the doors all the time in winter when needing to pick extra things from inside. Also if you walk away too quickly before all doors are closed it won't lock as you are too far away with the key and will simply beep at you 3 times. I had to disable it after getting fed up with its quirks
@Monkeyseemonkey792 жыл бұрын
@@THEBIGLYO came here to say the same thing. Totally agree.
@jasonschwanke9162 жыл бұрын
@@THEBIGLYO Yeah it is a cool feature but inconvenient at times. I get most annoyed the times I run out to the garage to grab something from the car but then have to go back inside to get the key fob because it had locked itself automatically earlier. I might turn the feature off soon.
