Acura will release the 2022 RDX (Non Type S) later this fall, then spring 2022 after the TLX and MDX Type S have been released - the RDX is next in line. I suspect to see it April 2022. 3.0L V6 Single Turbo 355hp, 354lb tq. Should make for an interesting machine. $60,000 Canadian Dollars, tell me what will match it for price?

I have the A-spec RDX myself and love it. Bought it from North Acura too..lol. You should also do brake test. As much as we love going fast, it's also important to see how cars and SUVs with their weight stop in good time from say 60km to zero and from 100km to zero. Should add them to all your videos

Thanks for confirming that my 2023 Acura RDX A-Spec was money well spent. Personally, I'm impressed with the many Euro cars I smoke on the road in my very competent compact SUV from Acura! The manual sport mode experience with the 10-speed transmission in RDX is like no other. Honda, no substitute.

2021 Audi Q5 has an unreported Launch Control feature fyi. Sad it wasn't used to see the difference in the Drag Race.....put the car into Dynamic Mode + Stability into Sport Mode, left foot on the brake, right foot floor the gas pedal, revs at 4K = Let go of the brake pedal :-) (you're welcome)

For my opinions: Acura RDX has a right 272 hp pair to its multiple gears at high RPM and about Q5 it has enough hp but less torque pulling itself when 7 gears shift

The Lexus would be the slowest overall with the BMW being the quickest, the GLC and RDX are around mid pack of this segment

@@drivescene6747 I test drove them all, to me the rdx and bmw felt the quickest, audi q5 a close 2nd, then the GLC and lexus was definitely the slowest and didn't feel as premium ride. I would like to see them dragging against each other by somebody else though. I didn't test the infiniti qx50 because the drive train with that cvt shouldn't even be in a luxury vehicle and I wouldn't consider buying it at all.

The Q5 has launch control but clearly no one bothered to use it. The dct is designed to do as you ask, but you got to tell it what you want to do. If you want to drag race you use launch control. If you want to keep revs high for better response on curvy roads engage sport mode. If you want smooth comfort leave it in auto or comfort. The mode makes a big difference on this car and a little rtfm goes a long way.

I do not wanna say it but audi q5 has launch control and he never used it. Before use it you should know your car dynamics. Acura driver knows car dynamics. As a audi q5 user I can say that Acura ony can see back rear lights of Audi :)

In normal mode the audi quattro plus ultra disconnects the rear wheels so thats why it was slower than the acura but in sport mode all four wheels were ready ... good job acura

As a q5 owner I’ll say it’s not the most impressive punch. But still waaaaaaaay better than the competition as an overall. I have a bmw for when I need speed 😈 acura looks super cute though!
