I just bought this exact one. 2025 RDX A-Spec Advance in Urban Grey Pearl. The paint is quite a looker in real life. The touchpad is no big deal and is a piece of cake. Awesome 16 speaker 3D audio system. Everything about this RDX is rock solid. Great engine (Honda K20C4) turbo with the 10-speed and SH-AWD. Love the classic red sports gauges. 255/45/R20 wheels/tires. In sport mode this thing really rips.

I loved my RDX, but couldn't get used to the Touchpad. We have a Mazda CX-5 in the household and that is much simpler to use. I know Acura is eliminating the Touchpad because they get so much negative press for it. If they had insisted on keeping it, they could have just make it optional along with a touchscreen like what Lexus did.

They need to put the screen a little bit closer to driver and turn it into a touchscreen, and remove that stupid touchpad to a little storage place as they did to the refreshed MDX.

Echo chamber comment. Touchpad is superior. It may need to man update for CarPlay, but I hate the smudges all over everyone’s touchscreens. One week with the touch pad and a non-smooth brained human will be a master of the system.

Saw this car (an A-Spec Advance) at the LA Auto show a couple days ago. Terrific car and nicely ergonomic. Touchpad stinks (but I suppose in time you can get use to it). Mistake by Acura is being located next to the Genesis exhibit. The Genesis GV70 made the RDX feel/look cheap. As good as the RDX is, for 5% more (MSRP) the GV70 would be my choice (for a lease). If I was buying, I'd go with Acura's reliability.

I've looked at both and although the Genesis looks very stylish, the Acura's interior uses better material. The noticeable differences were the interior medals. Mainly, Acura uses real medal with a heavier feel to the interior door handels than the Genesis. And other high touch materials like vents, buttons/controls and some plastics felt higher quality than the Genesis.

I can do without the panoramic sunroof. They tend to leak over time and provide less rigidity of the roofline causing squeaks. But with that being said I still think it’s a great value

I keep forgetting Acura is a thing. They're fine, I guess. They're more nice Hondas than Lexuses are nice Toyotas. If you want something premium and reliable, Acuras are probably a decent deal. Honda doesn't seem to pay much attention to Acura. That's called the GTA effect when you suddenly start seeing more of the car you're driving.

RDX is Acura's bestseller, and they are selling a lot of them (~40K annually or 270K of this current generation since 2019 in US alone). I actually see at least two of them a day if I'm out.

I would say this car drives much better than a Mazda cx5 by a long shot. The view is significantly better, and because of that you feel less claustrophobic. Power wise they are similar, but the red sounds more like a tuned sporty engine. The cx5 sounds odd, but still has very good power. The rdx drives like a Bmw x5, however The drive system seems better around corners.

The track pad is way easier to learn that any KZbinr complains about. It’s pretty simple. KZbinrs, with their overly dramatic reactions, make it seem like this is trackpad is beyond usable. Yet. They are wrong.

@HuskyPro122 I still drive a 25yr old 2000 Acura 3.2TL sedan. Use to want a Legend back in the day couldn't afford it. Then the fat Legend got crazy expensive. I bought my Honda Accords. Then got bought the 3.2 TL. Always wanted Acura MDX for some years. They kinda pricey also. So I am getting a cheaper version of the MDX, its cousin 2025 Honda Pilot Elite. It's priced in the same range as this RDX.

Only advance/advance aspec trims have power folding side mirrors. Otherwise you can fold them in manually.

i test drove a few different rdxs in the last month and i will say, i do not understand why everyone has a hard time with the trackpad. Then again if you dont touch a computer or are just old then i understand why. But its pretty simple to understand.

Most don’t even know. They are just repeating what they are seeing online. “Touchscreens are better” simply because they are used to it in their phones. They get super dirty and are almost always finicky. The trackpad isn’t perfect, but it’s a software thing and really only on CarPlay mode.

Those wheels are atrocious! 2022-2024 top trim wheels are much better. Sweet grille, though! I like the improvement. I wish they haven't meddled with the closed cupholder compartment from 2019-2024, it was really good and sleek and you could have it closed most of the time. The 2025 also breaks the gradual flow of the middle console because of that. It's also weird that they removed the second row climate control from 2019-2024 (at least I can manually change the range from hot to cold there separately from the front, but I guess it's better to have it synced at all times).

Considering the way Acura redesigns their cars, you probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference between this one and the next generation on the outside. On the inside they'll probably ditch the track pad as they did to the MDX.

The engine is loud hate it tune the noise out and this becomes a great truck. I had the 2 previous generation the v6 engine was better. Go back to the v6 or quiet the engine a lot and this would be a better vehicle.

Because their phones are their lives and there’s a touchscreen there. Trackpad is superior, no question. Every car I get into has smudges all over the screen, you never see that in a trackpad Acura.
