I’ve had a really good conversation with my boyfriend about this the other day. He currently struggles a lot with his mental health and we were talking about why his inpatient therapy a year ago helped him so much. And he said it came down to really simple things which made all the difference: a good sleep schedule, freetime without the internet, doing sports very often, getting good food, socializing and taking the time to reflect and work on his mental health. So now we both try to implement those things into our day to day life. I really think it will make a difference! I’m currently writing so many exams in uni and weirdly I‘m not at the edge of a burnout like in past exam-weeks. And I guess it’s because I sleeps enough, mealprep an eat healthy and go to the gym at least twice a week. (Sidenote: in Germany we are allowed to go to the gym). I’s still stressful and sometimes I struggle but it’s far away from any bournout signs, so that’s enough for me right now. I really hope the results of your efforts will continue to show and you’ll get your motivation back. But until then, I‘m very thankful for your relatable content!

I can tell you haven’t been the same since the fire. Your aura is different and that’s normal. I just want you to know that it’s ok to not be ok. And don’t ever think there’s a deadline or expiration date for you to feel like yourself again or GYST. And if you have to keep reinventing yourself and your routines until you find a good place again, that’s ok, we will always support you 😊 we support you being human❤️

Yes, those few seconds of bliss of not remembering when you wake up and then you’re hit with a wave of all the horrible things happening in the world. Studies show that despite the changes to our lives, eventually people feel normal again... so that’s something to look forward to. Just takes time...

I suppose I live a fairly sheltered life. I'm not terribly inconvenienced or annoyed by much of anything going on. It's frustrating to remember to wear things over your face, especially when claustrophobic and prone to overheating VERY quickly. But it's a small price if I keep the time it's on short. The first 3 months (Mar-May) were an absolute pleasure for me as I got to be home all day, every day. No hardship at all. Going back into the office has been mental and physical torture. What I learned during all this is to find something that I can do, at home, to make me money, and not have to be in an office any longer. I've set a deadline, and it's time to get busy! But as super introvert - I could go more than a week without people and be super happy. Though still texting maybe would be ok. But no actual talking/seeing. Just me and the cat(s).

I really loved this video. It's so nice to hear someone be so real. I'm so glad you mentioned that doing these things likely won't feel good, but will make a change. In ED recovery, we refer to well.. eating.. as mechanical eating. You don't want to do it but you just do. It's just what you do. Eventually it makes you feel better. This video was like mechanical habits. It's just what you do, and eventually it makes you feel better. I reallyyyy loved this!!!!

I love this video so much! I appreciate that you say that habits matter even if we still have bad days (we're humans) because they change things! So relatable! That's awesome that you're playing video games with your boyfriend! My husband and I were long distance until we got married, and we spent hours playing World of Warcraft together! When I started 2020, I was committed to build sustainable healthier habits bit by bit, and so far it's been a success. I've been exercising everyday, and when recently I realized I had no more motivation, I have just been making sure I do 10k steps every day, so I still move my body! I've been tracking calories which has helped me so so much! I also pull a tarot or oracle card everyday, do my skincare (I slacked end of last year), and in the last couple of months meditate (even if it's for a short time). Hobby-wise, I alternate between bursts of gaming, reading, TV watching, and roleplaying depending on the mood. :)

I think the way society nowadays focuses on exercise is not the right way to go. It is fine if you enjoying working out in a sport school but my experience is that people who focus on doing something they actually like and enjoy is way to more sustainable and brings more relaxing. I mean, I am all for Class Pass if you like doing a variety of things but reality is that most people don’t actually enjoy the experience. So high five to you for taking roller blading as your exercise! My exercise is ballet dance classes cause I enjoy the choreo, the moving, the music and the elengance of it all. See, multiple reasons why I am doing it, which is why it never feels like exercise but more like a healthy, relaxing, enjoyable hobby 🙂
@rachelleea4 жыл бұрын
Yes, you definitely need to have some kind of passion, whether it's for the enjoyment or it's working for you and what your health/ lifestyle goals are. Love it when it feels more like a hobby than 'exercise' 🙌🏻

Good afternoon Rachelle. I haven’t been checking your video for sometime. The last time I checked your videos was when you had moved to Canada and we’re loving it. Then unfortunately the fires happened in Australia and may I say how so very sorry I am to have heard that on the news. I did think of you and your family and was hoping that you all were safe and alright. I do understand you moving back to Australia and being with your family and so sorry that your mom had lost her home too. So, you are going to be living in Australia and then travel to Canada from time to time? Of, are you going to eventually go back permanently? I think you are very pretty. I have been feeling like not wanting to wake up in the mornings. I am on dialysis three days a week and I just don’t feel like doing it anymore. But, I still do. I am a happy person and do love life but just am not into this dialysis thing even though I have been doing it for 12yrs. God bless you and keep the faith and always tell yourself that “This too shall pass”. It always does. Hugs and love to you too, Sue(Clearwater, Florida USA)❤️🌼😺🙏🏻😘👼🌸😎☀️🌴❌⭕️❌⭕️

How did you suddenly fall asleep between 10:00/10:30? I have bad sleep schedule because of a lot of stress I can’t fall asleep. I want to change it to normal times but when I go to bed at lets say 11:30 pm, I fall asleep at the end of the night. Setting my alarm click then at a “normal” time makes me lose so much sleep that I am a zombie after four days. I am beyond frustrations and I am almost ready to give up.

If you have a night time routine your mind will be like ok nearly sleep time! Also lower light, less technology and just small changes over time. Also if you're not tired enough try more exercise to tire yourself out. This is what works for me x

I don't know about international travel in australia but it's picking on in many countries now.. soon enough i think it will resume all over the world.. i think something that might be very helpful to you now is to plan for your move to canada. I know you already had everything set before the pandamic but that was months ago and so many things must have changed since. Planning and sorting your stuff and preparing might be exactly the boost you need.. this way you are ready with not a second to waste once international travel is available.
