STUDIO LIFE - A VIDEO CHRONICLE about day-to-day life in a home pottery studio. This is a new series that I am trying out as a Daily-ish Vlog Studio Life, depicting a behind the scenes look into CERAMIC’s as a business. Whether as a side hustle or as a full time Potter, I share day-to-day life in my home pottery studio. It may be building shelves or taking photos, product reviews, running errands, marketing tips, trips to pottery supply stores etc. I share with you my highs and lows and all the stuff in between. So if you are interested in learning more about the business end of ceramics and watching studio shenanigans, this series is for you.
If you’ve been following me here over the last few years, you have come to know my other videos focus primarily from a start to finish approach to producing and/or glazing a piece. In many cases it takes weeks to complete just one video, as it takes that long - with drying time and kiln loads - to make just 1 pot! So don’t worry, if you enjoy that kind of content I will still produce them as I really enjoy the process, but this is a different look into the world of a Potter... pssst… you will even get a glimpse into the world of video production!!

I share my process for this exact reason…to share the ups and downs which I hope encourages, because I get it, I question the way I do things ‘is this the best way’?🧐 I love when I get suggestions from viewers…so helpful!! And then pay it forward! Everything looks so neat when it’s all bundled up into a 10-15 min video but in reality it took days, week, to get the footage and or make the piece! How are you doing? @SarahWaltonPottery Oh for sure! It's only because we love the craft so much that we will spend hours and hours making it and promoting it! I am just using my Samsung phone and Clipchamp to edit. I use Photoroom App for my photos. So far, so good. I am always open to trying new things and implementing if they are better. Again, Thanks for sharing! Love our pottery community!
