I used the hollow dies for my hand held extruder to make ikibana style bowl vases. So I threw a small shallow bowl then extruded 3 tubes of different lengths that I secured vertically in the base of the bowl so that they could hold single stems. I put holes at the base of each tube so you can fill the bowl with water to feed into the bottom of the tubes. That probably makes no sense, sorry. I'll try to find a pic to send you via intsta or something 😊

Great video Sarah, Thanks for sharing your thoughts and tools and glazes with us❤️ Sounds like you have a wonderful plan for 2025 too. I love the Spectrum floating red, white and the Aqua, they work so well on texture with only 2 good coats. Love Ginger, papaja and sunrise. I really hated blue Rutile, but since I too found out at least 4 coats for that beautiful colour to come thru works for me We are in Norway with our family celebrating the holidays. Hi Sarah. You are my fav by far pottery Chanel. After close to 30 years away from ceramics you have convinced me to pick it up again. As for the questions I like a store that I can browse and see what’s on there to buy. I can appreciate why the artist may prefer a shop update. It may be easier to prepare for, bulk the work of updating the website to one time, and creates a hype which I am sure helps sales. However, as a shopper, I prefer to more leisurely shop, rather than feeling like I need to set an alarm and feel pressured to be able to try to obtain a piece. Hope this feedback helps.

Re shop update: I’m definitely of two minds on this. One of my friends is an amazing ceramic artist Lucy Be. And I definitely stay tuned to her shop updates because she sells out within half an hour normally and her works are so detailed and so time-consuming that she doesn’t have a lot of stock. However, there is another Potter which I occasionally get just general every day pieces. They’re not as detailed I don’t mind if I drop one or break them (obviously it’s still horrible but it’s not the devastation I have with Lucy’s stuff, if I break one of hers I’m heartbroken). And I definitely don’t keep up with his shop updates I just go on his website whenever and choose whatever he’s got left and he doesn’t tend to sell out as quickly as Lucy. I won’t name him because he would be sad, I imagining if I don’t think as much of his works as I think of my girlfriend’s work. But his work is definitely just, throwing, trimming and glazing and that’s it, my other friend, Lucy 🐝 Be, wow! her works are definite works of art! ( yes she has had a number of showings at art galleries and her works are priced appropriately) She puts hours into a single mug. So I guess it depends on your market pure works of art, wonderful hand craft or basic utility. Each would be approached differently
