I have been practicing my journaling. I love it now. I created a 3 year journal out of a B6 stalogy. I use that to write down how my 2 year is doing. I use my hobonichi cousin to journal about my day-to-day life and also track my health habits and wins. I love your videos. Your voice is so nice to listen to. 😊

Thank you so much! Sounds like you have created a great practice for journaling!

My mother journaled her whole 96 years. She would collage the cover of a notebook with pictures from magazines. She called it her clip art - long before computers or planners or stickers. Guess that’s why journaling comes so natural for me.

Kathleen, that is amazing! I would love seeing journals from different time periods - the differences in writing style, language, slang, current events. Wow!

Journaling is something I try to do everyday. It's a way for me to decompress my mind when there's too much to process and other times, it's a place for me to put down funny memories.

I have an AE Weeks that use as a bujo and a separate one that I use for longer journaling notes/thoughts. I also have an AE A5 grid notebook that I use for my memory planning. I add photos to my memory planner. I might combine them though….You got me thinking about doing that. 😅

This is my first year in a cousin- hoping it will help my journaling become a consistent practice! I love this video and the thoughts you shared! I’m so intrigued by the fountain pens ! Do you have a video about fountain pens ?
@KarynaLovesToPlan2 жыл бұрын
Hi Margarita - I have a whole playlist on my fountain pens! kzbin.info/aero/PLTSFDy-_EbmcpIy9cSYRnF5TY3awaGseg and another playlist just for inks! If you are completely new to the hobby, I recommend going to Goulet Pens channel as they have so many educational videos on fountain pens!

I am striving for a consistent journaling practice this year. I’m watching for the second time! I came back to be reminded how you printed such small pics. I am hoping adding pics with draw me to my daily pages to journal ! I tried using pic stitch- the free version- and I can’t seem to get the pics as small as yours- any suggestions or do you have a video that explains a bit more in depth ?
@KarynaLovesToPlan Жыл бұрын
I actually create a collage with four pics, and do that with sixteen photos. Then, on the last collage, I take each of the original four collages and place it in the four grid so I can get 16 small pictures in a 4x6 photo. Hope that helps!

@@KarynaLovesToPlan I think I understand. Runs to pic stitch 😂

@@KarynaLovesToPlan I did it !!!! My home printer didn’t print all the pics right- probably user error- but I got a few small enough and added one to my cousin ! PURE ELATION 😁 I went ahead and sent the collages to Walgreens !! I think I may need a Cannon Selphy or to learn how to turn to the 4x6 - the pics are printing as 6x4. THANK YOU for all your help !!!

You mentioned that you had sold one of your fountain pens. What are some good sites for me to sell some pens on, how do you know how much to charge, and does it take special wrapping for these pens?
@KarynaLovesToPlan Жыл бұрын
I sell my pens by either posting here on KZbin, posting in my stories on Instagram. Since I have a good number of people who look at those accounts, it works well for me. A lot of people use /penswap on Reddit or VirtualPenShow on Instagram. As for charging, I charge around 75-80% of what I paid, depending on condition. With packaging, I keep boxes of all my pens so I send pens in what they came in, and I ship in a bubble mailer or box. I use tracked shipping as well. Hope this helps!

@@KarynaLovesToPlan Yes, you have been very helpful. My biggest problem is, I didn’t save the original boxes or packing materials. ☹️ That could be a big problem…

I have a five-year journal that I sometimes write on. Usually super highlights. Try not to stress about it. I wonder, how much time do you carve to journal every day?
@KarynaLovesToPlan2 жыл бұрын
I try carve out 15-30min everyday and it is my de-stress time so I prioritize it.
@kikaykrafts2 жыл бұрын
@@KarynaLovesToPlan Ah. Thanks for sharing. It sometimes feels daunting to carve out a chunk every day - but half an hour for all is very doable.

Love this, but quick question: are the pages this white, or is it the same yellow paper as the Hobo Weeks?
@KarynaLovesToPlan2 жыл бұрын
It is not the same yellow paper as the Weeks - it is still TRP but whiter than the Weeks. It's not perfectly white, though.

Love these videos from you 💞, to see you journal gives me motivation to do so myself - I love it but I feel the amount you journal would be too much for me.. I use a Classic HP vertical and decorate a lot so that there’s not much space left 😅
@KarynaLovesToPlan2 жыл бұрын
If I had tried to journal in a Cousin two years ago, it would have been too much. I progressed from a Mini HP to a Classic HP to the Cousin. Do what you are comfortable with!

Sorry you didn’t like your AlStar. They can be finicky and sometimes need some nib tweaking and need a wetter ink in my experience. I love my 2000s a lot but the AlStar can be temperamental.
@KarynaLovesToPlan2 жыл бұрын
It was the ink that made it awful. I tried the Al Star with a different ink and it was wonderful. But I think I have outgrown it and passed it on to someone who has never tried Lamy before.
@JustScribble2 жыл бұрын
@@KarynaLovesToPlan I understand. Ink in them makes a big difference - some pens are more picky with ink pairings than others. They are great starter pens but definitely not a pen I like for journaling or regular writing sessions. They are great when traveling or to keep at the office though because they aren’t pricey if something happens. Glad it found an owner to love it!
