Even though I'm American and I live in the USA I don't know how public school works that much. I only went form preschool to 1rst grade, I've been home schooled for 7 years I go to meets with other home schoolers at a huge curch for things that needs other people like we have horse riding every week and alot of other things. But we have everything that school has but less strict techers because there all mothers that teach each other's kids lol. For example,we don’t change classes,there’s 1 class for a group of persons and the teachers come to us. we don’t have lunch at school,but at home,and when we’re at school,we only eat snacks from food machines,and there are many other differences. I’m from the uk and seeing this was so cool 😂. Like the bus just seemed amazing idk y. And your hallways are huge. We literally have to elbow each other to get through. Do you have this thing called a ‘one way system’?? We have that in certain corridors. I noticed you were studying of mice and men and we did that a few years ago - it was amazing. We have 5 lessons a day. Each an hour. And everyone eats on the playground cause our cafeteria is so small and stuffy. Here is how my secondary (in England) works: 9:05 to 9:25 Form Time (20mins) 9:25 to 11:05 1st Period(100mins) 11:05 to 11:25 1st Break(20mins) 11:25 to 1:05 2nd Period(100mins) 1:05 to 2:05 Lunch(1hour) 2:05 to 3:45 3rd Period(100 and 5mins) 3:45 End of school! Yes at my school are lessons are very long not just compared to American schools, compared to alot of English schools to.

My school starts at 7:25 am. We have to get to school by 7 am. Then at 7:50 am is the first period. Each period is 35 minutes ( used to be 45 minutes ). Then : 10:25 am is the start of recess and 10:55 am is the end. Then lessons continue till 1:15 pm where you have lunch till 1:50. Then , lessons continue till 3:00 pm. Then you stay back if you have remedial ( for those who fail certain tests for certain subjects ) till 4 pm. I’m also in Secondary school and it’s probably different since mine is in Singapore and my school system is kinda based off your school system.

i'd like to say that is not the norm for schools in england. I rememeber when my school switched to 100 minute lessons, previously we had 5 periods, 1 hour each.

Ya'll so lucky you get home that early. We start our class at 7:30 and ends at 4:45. 8 subjects per day with a 15-minute recess and 1:15 minutes of lunch break.

Woah, there's not even locker in my school in the past. I remember bringing a thick bulky bag and 2 additional hand bags full of books that at least weigh 10-15 kg total and as a 10 years old. Also the textbook is so outdated and so inconvenient that in middle and high school, we just uses papers. We have textbooks but rarely uses them because they are so outdated. And I don't know if it's the same but student at in my country is forced to join clubs and curricular activities. I remember waking up 4:00 AM in the morning, take the school bus and reach school at 6:00 AM and study until 1:25 PM and then have club and curricular activities until 3:20 PM and then react home at fricking 4:00 - 5:00 PM. It's Malaysia for those who are curious.

I go to an international American school and it's very similar to the U.S. in terms of AP curriculum and extra-curriculars, but there's just something about real American schools that I want to experience: - the sex life. The only thing we do here is make out and give each other hickeys. - the open LGBT environment. - the diversity. In my school, everyone is either American or Moroccan. - the parties. We do crazy stuff here too, but we don't have real parties with alcohol. I guess I'll just experience all of this when I go to college soon.
