WHO AM I? ♻️
Hello! My name is Max Reisinger (Rye - Singer) and I’m a 17-year old student-athlete/entrepreneur/visual creative. I’m currently in my last year in high school and am applying to college/university (wish me luck). I’ve been creating videos here on KZbin since the beginning of 2019 when I moved to France for 7 months with my family. I attended a French public school during my time there and filmed all of my experiences/travels/new perspectives. After moving back to America, I started a business (perspectopia.com) and have continued to film how I use optimism to live a happy, well-balanced life.
MY BUSINESS: 📦
At the beginning of 2020, I started a clothing brand - Perspectopia (Perspective + Utopia). My ultimate goal with this KZbin channel has always been to create a community and I strongly believe that optimistic perspectives can change your life. So, I decided to create a community based upon these ideas and also decided to create a line of clothing so that you can represent these same ideals.
The first collection launched at the beginning of 2020 where I released a limited round of 100 embroidered champion hoodies. You guys absolutely blew me away and they sold out in less than 9 minutes!!? If you want to support the Perspectopia movement and rep the brand, follow @persptopia on Instagram ( / perspectopia ) to get updates on all future drops, updates, and behind the scenes!
JOIN MY COMMUNITY: 🗺
I would love for you to join the Perspectopia discord community! - / discord
We host weekly game nights, movie nights, discussions on different topics, language lessons, homework help, accountability groups, and much more!
See you there-
GET IN TOUCH: 📲
If you’d like to ask me any questions, tweeting @Maxbrsee directly will be the quickest way to get a response! For any business or media inquiries please email maxreisingertv@gmail.com - I try my best to reply to dms/questions as best as I can, so please, don’t hesitate to reach out with anything!

As a Non-American high school student I am just baffled that he's allowed to film in class like that.😂 The idea of filming a test is so strange to me. In my high school you have to hand your phone over before a test, take of your smart watch etc. You are living the dream, man! 👏👏👏

The cell phone thing has gotten out of control over the past decade. Kids are addicted to them and use them in-class. It doesn't help that some parents will get angry at teachers or admin staff if they take away their kid's phone. Even when I was in high school from 2011-2014, there were kids in class who were on their phone during class and didn't care what the teacher was saying.

As a Turkish high school student, i really wanted to say, i was still jealous since i was 8. American schools are the best in the world. You don't need to force yourself to much for transportation, education or paying for extra foods because you have a nice dining hall in your school. In Türkiye sometimes we get stuck in our classes. Lessons are hard and tough. We haven't got these kind of corridors, lockers, these lovely and heartwarming classes like that. ( it only been in collages that you have to pay tons of money) I really hope Turkish students have advantages recently as American students have. ( i admire it a lot)
@JJFlores197
@JJFlores197 9 ай бұрын
As they say, the grass is greener on the other side. I can personally guarantee you that most schools aren't this nice. Usually the nice and big schools are in rich areas. There are many poorly funded schools that are terrible. Dining halls may look cool, but what good are they if the school foods are terrible? Most school foods are low quality. Again, it depends on the area. My mom works in a school cafeteria. Not only is the food terrible, but it is extremely wasteful. Any food that is left over goes straight to the trash. No one is allowed to take it home or donate it. Straight to the trashcan. A lot of the food is not nutritious at all, despite it being labeled as such. I mean, there are people who abhor the idea of free school lunches. In their mind, a free school lunch is basically making sure that a kid gets used to free government handouts and relying on the government. As for teachers, you have really great teachers, decent teachers, and mediocre teachers who are there just to collect a paycheck. I'm not trying to make the schools all seem horrible, but the reality is not all cheerful and great. Many public schools are not well funded. We have a lot of issues with student academic performance. No one seems to get on board with how to fix it. Everyone just blames the other person. You have a group of people who blame the parents, you have another group blaming the teachers, you have another group blaming the government. Everyone just points fingers and nothing gets done. The US as a whole has been declining over the decades.

Also, in the vid shows me the friendliness, bustle and comfort of everyone. My hope is that I will have the opportunity to study in this country, I will attempt to do it. Anyway, I love your vid!

Well, one thing is what you see in the media and one thing is reality. I can personally guarantee you that most schools in the US aren't that nice. It varies a lot depending on where you live. Public schools are usually not the best, but there are some well-funded schools that have great facilities and amenities and classes, but they are in rich areas. A lot of schools are underfunded, especially in poor areas like in poor parts of the Los Angeles area. Some schools feel like a prison. Its not all great over here in the US. There are many issues in US public schools that no one can agree how to fix or even approach due to politics and many other ideas. You have one group of people blaming the parents, you have another group blaming the teachers and schools and then another group blaming the government. Its a disaster. Mental health is a serious issue in a lot of students that not everyone takes seriously or even "believes in". This is a very large generalization, but there is a lack of respect towards educators both by parents and students. A lot of parents see schools as glorified day care. There are many disrespectful kids. There's a lot of lack of discipline. Teachers are pretty much powerless. There have even been numerous reports of teachers that were required to pass students even if they were otherwise failing. But as they say, the grass is greener on the other side.

Hey Max, my name is Liv. I am 13 years old, and I am from Denmark. I have watched your video at school because we are learning about US school life. Schools in America is a lot different from the schools in Denmark. In Denmark we have our own classroom, so our teachers come in for the lesson. We call our teachers by their first name, and we also do not have lockers. Pros: · Your class first starts at 9 am but ours start at 8 am. · You have longer break than we do. Cons: · You must walk to all your classes. · You are done at 4 pm and we are done at 2 pm. · Your lessons are an hour but ours is only 45 minutes. I thought your video was really God and I learned a lot about US school that I did not know. I hope you get a lot of views and likes:)

As a Turk, there is a lot of difference with our schools and American schools. First of all, pretty much every school in Turkey has a uniform. Public schools share similar or even the same uniforms while private schools have more customization. So the term "dress code" is not familiar to many people in Turkey. Next difference is the technology and it's freedom. Some schools don't even allow you to bring any kind of tech into the premises and they will confiscate it on the spot. And for schools that allow students to bring their phones etc. usually have a box in or infront of the vice principal's office where students have to leave their tech into which they can later collect at the end of the day. It doesn't matter if you are in highschool or middle school, they generally follow the same rules. Except if you are in college. Next difference is the funding. Turkey has a very corrupt government (even if it doesn't seem like it on the outside) so funding for education is totally ass. If you are wondering how I'm so fluent in English, I taught myself. And this is generally true for any public school student in Turkey who is as fluent as I am in English. I mean, middle school students in America receive better language training than public highschool students in Turkey. And the fact that funding is crap becomes more and more obvious when you look into the bathrooms, quality of equipment, overall hygiene and especially public dorms. Unless if you are going to a very prestigious and well-known school in Turkey, there is a very high chance you will be in the same dorm with someone whose family probably has connections to ISIS (related to the immigrant issue in Turkey). Next up is the education. The education in Turkey is very different in Turkey compared to The USA. First of all, there aren't "periods" in Turkish schools. Doesn't matter if public or private. You have a fixed class and classroom that you will be with for the whole year. Classes are differentiated with the grade number and a letter such as "4/D" or "11/B". And these class sizes can reach ridiculous numbers in public schools. I'm talking 40-45 students in one classroom with letters going all the way up to G or H. Private schools generally keep the number around 18-22 students per classroom. And of course, the curriculum. The curriculum is very different in Turkey compared to The USA. There are 5 main classes up to highschool. Turkish, Math, Science, Social Studies & Religious Studies. These classes split into other classes in highschool: Turkish -The Turkish Language & Literature, Grammar Math - Generally stays the same but you might have a separate geometry class. Science - Chemistry, Physics and Biology. Social Studies - Geography and History. And the middle/high classification is different as well: Kindergarten (2 years minimum) Primary school (Grades 1 to 4) Middle school (Grades 5 to 8) Highschool (Grades 9 to 12) And there is a government-issued exam every student must enter if they want to go to highschool. That exam is called "LGS" and means "Lise Giriş Sınavı" which translates to "Highschool Entrance Exam". Students enter this exam at the end of 8th grade and preparing for it is absolutely hell. If you are an 8th grader, you pretty much spend 8th grade doing nothing but studying. And what you get taught in Turkey is very different compared to The USA. Turkish and Mathematics are very in-depth and Turkish students receive math education that American students would get 2 years later (comparing 2 students in the same grade). Meanwhile classes that have more of a connection to the outside world (such as history) are very isolated and 90% just teach Ottoman history and history about other Turkic civilizations. And there aren't classes such as sewing class or sex education. If you are in a public school, the maximum you can get is music and art class which isn't even that good. And it's not better in private schools. The max you can get out of private school in terms of class diversity is clubs class which are classes that last a maximum of 2 lessons per week. It's pretty much classes that you can pick ranging from sports to robotics. And there is near 0 chance you will have sex education class in Turkey. Some private schools may give these classes but in general, the maximum amount of education about sex you get in Turkey is during science where you learn about the organs. Not even reproduction. Plus, you don't have world history classes and other studies like that. A completely isolated education system. Recently some news even popped up saying that HÜDA PAR (a party in coalition with AKP which is the ruling party) will seperate male and female students in educational facilities. At this point, we are becoming a completely isolated society praising some geriatric mf under the name of Islam. And don't get me wrong, I'm a Muslim myself but this is just wrong. (It's late while I'm writing this so there are many things I couldn't add. Also, sorry if it got a little deep at the end)

The only time there wasn't, was when a teacher made an anime clubb, and people actually join and i found out alot of people were sweet people in the school, but obviously not even in my classes i have them lol, heres how my school is, Everyone swears they're grown, always wanna fight, curses teachers out, doesnt do the work, always gossiping about eachother, almost 4-5 fights a week, i saw a girl get attacked by about 7 girls running and jumping on cars, obviously police always comes to our school, and all i did was focus on my self, did my own things, never got associated, alot of people generally liked me in senior year because they thought i was 'chill' but i never hang out with them lol. oh and our security guards are allowed to tackle because of bad rep of what the school has.

Honestly I feel really jealous about how much you guys are living the true high school experience, here in Italy, classes are all the same, no engagement whatsoever, 6 hours a day with the same people, homeworks and tests are so much harder than yours and after lessons end everyone just goes home, there are no clubs, extra activities, nothing creative, you can't choose your subjects and professors are like robots the most of the time, I honestly feel jealous and I did not even have to try a abroad year in your country because of Covid...That's the first real regret I'll have for life 😅

Wakko noo, It’s just that school really isn’t about learning and discovering things that’s your passionate about anymore. Cause most people are just so determined on passing that they can’t focus on other important aspect of life. They don’t really ever learn the cool things about education.
