That is hilarious. I live in Minnesota too, and that is why I watch this channel too. It helps me get through winter, and reminds me that it could be worse. They have 8 months instead of sometimes 6 months. Living in a polar climate like Minnesota and Svalbard, you know that climate change and global warming doesn't exist.

I have been watching these videos for almost 2 months now and I LOVE them. This particular video I have saved as I have watched it numerous times. This video has helped me in so many ways. I suffer from SAD, and it sucks. Plus, I have anxiety, but I have learned to prepare for the next season and organize my home and take the steps she has shown in this video, and it really does help. There is a difference, and her other videos just make me feel great and they help as well. Especially she motivates me to go to the gym cause when it's dark and cold it's like let's not and say we did but nope I am like ok I need to do it. I learn from both her and Christopher....and Grim I just love to pieces he is so cute.

Getting out is definitely part of it. We tend to become more indoor people when winter comes, but that comes with its own emotional challenges eventually. Getting out in the fresh air, especially when it's sunny, is so important!

I met a Grim dog yesterday. Someone gave me free tickets to an AKC Meet the Breeds event. I was beyond excited when I saw the Finnish Lapphund booth. When I told my husband that's what Grim is, the owner seemed incredulous. She said there are only about 800 in the US. I said, "Well, he lives on an island near the North Pole." She said, "That makes sense." She was so soft and fluffy. I couldn't wait to tell you about meeting her. I wish i could remember her name but I'm not sure they told me. I also got to see the Keeshonds, which I had growing up. They remind me of a fluffier version (if you can believe that) of the Finnish Lapphund. It was a great day.

When this season hits, you always get that extra burst of energy in your step and you are so ready to cozy everything up! From the cookbook, I have tried the beef stew, pancakes and pickled beets.
