During my 2 years living and working in Japan (2007 - 2009) the thing I found surprising was the effort that people went to to decorate their houses for Christmas! I remember going into the supermarket in Japan for the first time (Australian here) and thinking to myself "Oh, this must be the Asian Food aisle"!!! Hi Lou C. This time of year is a struggle for most people I think. Especially if our families are so far away. My family is 1300 miles away and even at my age (64) I still get very sad that I can't be with them at Christmas. All we can do is keep moving forward, stay busy and try our very best. I started or found your videos a month ago - after the first one brought back a ton of memories - I spent fom age 20 -23 years old living in Osaka, first time I had really not known atleast someone, my first real apartment, it was my introduction into adulthood, it was a little rough, the first Christmas I had a $1200 phone bill, The time in general was amazing and looking back I wouldnt change a thing , met many incredable people that I still talk to 30 years later. Thank You PS Kentucky Fried Chicken used to be a big Christmas thing, Not sure why, but it was a reminder of home and everyone else did it.

Christmas is a very difficult time of the year. There are so many social pressures to be happy. It is important to feel whatt you feel, it is ok. I suffer from anxiety and depression. Sometimes I sleep too much because I cannot face the outside world. But I am lucky that I have my family near me and a good doctor. Your oatmeal pizza crust was a great idea but In’d like to offer a couple suggestions: 1. Add about 1/8 tsp of Xanthan gum to the dry ingredients along with a pinch of salt 2. Double the amount of olive oil 3. Pre-bake the pizza crust in the air fryer for about 5 minutes on both sides before adding your toppings

about Christmas, start decorating your apartment, bringing things that remind you of childhood, play music that reminds you of that time, simple things so that everything doesn't become so automatic even if you go to work on Christmas Day, make a Christmas breakfast, use a Different outfit, create your own Christmas traditions

It's common for people to feel down around the holidays. It seems to me that you are doing so many things right. You eat healthy, you exercise, you take care of your health like making sure you get enough sleep and getting your thyroid surgery. You also make SO many people happy by posting your videos. A few years ago, we were in Prague and they had several of these places that offered a water spa with little fish in it. A person put their legs in it and the little fish ate the dead skin, etc. people said it felt wonderful and their legs were so smooth when they got out
