You are remarkable! I am a 71 grandma and my kids were 17 months apart. I went back to work at the Phone Co. after 6 weeks. That’s all you got in 1971/1972. I had my Mom who babysat until they went to school. You can only do your best. Great job. ❤️

I learned, albeit the hard way, getting up a few hours before my children is so important to my mental health. I use this time to list what I have to do for the day and then I have an hour of Bible study. And I applaud you for the outside time. My kids where always outside when they were younger and they still, even being tweens now, love to be outside doing something like bikes, roller skating etc...

The outdoors are the best for kids! I've found with my toddler when I feel like the day has been dragging or I'm about to lose my patience, going outside fixes it. Theres so much more room for them to move and it calms them

Girl, you have NO idea what a strong willed toddler is. I really hope you understand how lucky you are. Your son is not the average toddler. You're seriously living a dream. You better understand how lucky you are.

I’m with ya. Got some advice for me??
@CrunchyMom88 Жыл бұрын
@@jennifermyers9436 Everything starts with us. Change ourselves, change our toddlers. This stage is crucial, not only for personality development but also developing trust. My 3 year old still doesn't trust me and it breaks my heart, but we all need patience with each other. They're testing boundaries while learning emotions and reactions.

Thanks for your thoughts on infant sleep! I’m a new mom and the sleep aspect of baby life has been so stressful as there are so many opinions out there about it. I was helped by your reminders that it’s not worth getting worked up about it but to seek consistency. And I am constantly telling myself that every day is a new adventure with a baby :)
@Aplusinskal2 жыл бұрын
Just a note on baby sleep.. Our baby (who's now 2y4m) slept CRAZY bad until approx 2 months ago. CRAZY bad, no joke. Waking every 15 minutes and sometimes never going down for sleep at all. Tried white noise, rockers, EVERYTHING, expensive sleep courses,,, nothing worked. And then they found a brain tumour in her cerebellum at 8 months. She's had 2 surgeries and have now healed enough as to not feel pain/whatever you feel post tumour/surgeries. She sleeps most nights and rarely wakes us, not even when she goes to the loo. So all I want to say is, baby sleep can also be a sign, I believe. If it's really, really crazy (45 minutes was a very rare luxury to us... She'd NEVER Sleep that long in her 2 first years..), maybe it's something keeping them restless. Thanks for great, inspiring videos Kallie!

I just found your videos on here and I am so obsessed!!!! Am I the only one with kids that just goes with the flow? 😂😂🤷♀️ I've never had a schedule really. Sure there is things that we do as a "routine" everyday like eating and morning and night time brushing teeth and getting dressed. I've always just let my kids sleep when they are tired 🤷♀️ for me it's less stressful and its what my kids are used to. I'm a full time stay at home mom so I guess I don't really need to manage my time as much 🤷♀️😂

I loved this video. I love watching different routine videos. I've been a single mom since my daughter was born, she is almost 4 now. It was such a struggle, I was always tired and didnt get much done till I started wearing her in the backpack. I preferred that over the wraps, never felt comfortable with those and I couldn't use them for a long time. She was a premie and only 4 pounds at birth so I had to wait till she got up to a good weight before I could put her into the backpack but once I did things got better. Because she too always wanted to be held and that way i got things done..

It’s funny how you called the evening time Finnley’s witching hour. I called it the same thing with my daughter, who will be 10 this month. We realized she had colic and she needed to be physically held, sometimes for hours on end, just to be comfortable. So this was 2-4 hours of me on my feet holding her and bouncing her and myself until whatever she was feeling went away. That lasted a few months but it certainly knocked off the baby weight fast lol. My son did not have that issue and I was so grateful. No one likes seeing their child uncomfortable or in pain. I also would lay her down and push her little legs in and out, almost working out the discomfort she was feeling. But if I wasn’t doing that, she was in my arms and her dr told me I had to move too, not just swing or rock her. And then one day, the issue went away and my baby girl wasn’t uncomfortable anymore. Idk if that’s her issue, just sharing what her witching hour consisted of.
