When my siblings and I were younger after we watched a film my dad would ask us “what was the message of the film? What was the director trying to say?” We now instinctively analyze films, I have annoyed many people by saying what ideology the director was pushing in watching films with friends. I would recommend that you parents do this with your children, critical thinking is critical for the next generation.

Ben's point about cop shows is dead on. The Rookie with Nathan Fillion is a prime example. The first couple seasons are some of the best cop tv dramedy out there. They spent a lot of time and effort to make the actual law enforcement aspects realistic. It was pretty wholesome and not even really woke at all by today's standards. Then season 3 came out and I put down the show permanently after the 2nd episode. The entire series became about a cartoonishly racist cop and how the young gay black cop was guna fight fhe system from within and all kinds of garbage like that and suddenly a show that was about cops saving lives turned into a show about cops apologizing for being cops.

Same old story: everything touched by "social justice" decays, withers and dies unmourned. I vaguely remember some eighties movie about a demon being summoned by a coven of naive witches. It was a silly thing, like most eighties horrors, but in it, the demon is walking through the countryside in the form of an attractive young woman. She looks as pure as the driven snow, but as she walks past some flowers, they instantly die and start to rot. She continues past some cattle that stagger and fall over. The camera shot seems to rise and we are afforded a bird's-eye view of the girl from perhaps a hundred or two hundred feet up: the grass, the corn, the animals, all are dead and decaying in her wake. I think of that scene - brilliantly done, in a rather mediocre movie - whenever I think of wokeness, social justice, political correctness.....whatever this demonic, destructive force in innocent garb, is being called this afternoon.

Daily wire, you NEED to make a comprehensive, informative, timeline video that shows all of the different stances of the health organizations, politicians, and mainstream media since the start of the pandemic and have a “flip-flop counter” in the corner. If you do this, you should detach the video from yourselves (by this I mean not have it be narrated by any of your big names) so that it will not be automatically dismissed by those biased against the right. If you make this it could be a shareable tool for all of us trying to change minds on an individual level. I also think it could go viral tbh 💰💰

So just a request for the Daily Wire. I had commitments yesterday for the premier of Shut In, so I got to it around 7:30. I did not know what would happen, so I couldn't really be upset when I ended up missing the last 15-minutes of the show (the first 15-minutes was all introduction and previews, so I skipped that). I knew that was a possibility and to be honest, where it cut out for me was not really a big deal as most of the real tension had been resolved by that point. In fact, I was a bit confused by where the ending was going after that...but that is an aside. I did go onto IMDB to see how it ended and read through the reviews there, where I discovered that there were other people who likewise had this issue and, in the case of the reviewer, seemed to be a bit upset about the situation. I realize the goal is to increase subscriptions and while I've considered subscribing and may do so in the future, I have my reasons why I do not at this time and again, I'm not upset that I missed the ending because I was prepared for it...but I was a bit disappointed. Which brings me to the suggestion that in the future, you take into account that some people might get a later start...or some people might pause the viewing for a restroom break, or...point is, would it really be such a bad thing to leave it up on KZbin after the presentation for an addition hour or so to take that into consideration. You could communicate this ahead of time so that people who start watching too late will know that they aren't going to be able to see everything, but people who are just a bit late or need to pause for a bit don't get shorted. Anyway, just a thought for your consideration. I enjoyed the presentation and as for myself, I was just grateful that you made it available in the first place - you didn't need to do that and it was very generous of you to do so. Thanks for all the great work you do at the Daily Wire.

@LukeTeel
@LukeTeel 2 жыл бұрын
@@daniellove162 that's a really good point! Thankfully I didn't say "he couldn't be more wrong" because clearly he could be. He is wrong 'as is' with the skewed numbers they are telling the public but when you take into account reality and the amount of people, that like you said, "had no symptoms or had just one bad day" he is so wrong it really becomes obvious that something nefarious is going on. After we all make it out of this mess, people like Shapiro who do "mostly good" and only tell a few big lies occasionally won't be tolerated. I personally think he should be held responsible now, it's not simply that he is backing a solitary big pharma lie, it's meant to look that simple but there is much much more going on here. This people need to pay for this shit, it's just as wrong for a news anchor on CNN to manipulate us with propaganda and lies than it is for someone like Shapiro to. I'd venture to say it's worse considering they have better viewership and actually charge for their content.

@@LukeTeel - I don't blame people for thinking this vaccine is just another vaccine and why would you question a vaccine. I blame people who were so afraid out of their mind that they wanted to FORCE people to get the vaccine or be forced out of society. I will tolerate stupidity, I will not tolerate forcing others to partake in stupidity.

@@daniellove162 you used the word "vacc!ne" how many times in that short reply. Four? Five? It doesn't deserve it because it is simply not what it is, it does not, nor did it ever, provide immunity, therefore it is simply not a "vacc!ne". It drives me nuts when grifters like Ben Shapiro claims otherwise and goes as far to say that's it's also safe and effective when it is neither. He says he supports it but just disagrees with the mandates, this just makes him partially correct, it makes him one of the liars because he knows it's not the truth. It's a dangerous injection with a nefarious purpose. I'm disappointed in people at TDW lately, it's really sad just how fake they are showing themselves to be when it's so easy to hope they are decent people and really believe in doing the right thing and standing up for our rights, liberty, and the country. The only thing that really matter to them is the paycheck. Gross!

Haven’t seen the movie - but even if it’s not the best thing ever, neither is anything else coming out of Hollywood. At least by watching Daily Wires stuff, I’ll be supporting someone who share my values ✌️ And I’ll continue to be “hopeful” that celebrities get cancelled so we’ll have grade A actors

The federal authority debate Ben describes is exactly what led to Barry Goldwater voting against the civil rights act of 1964, despite his personal belief that black Americans deserved equal rights.

I'm not sure what the argument here is. Because centrelist factions can get it right, and decentralist factions can get it wrong. But it doesn't change the fact that when decentralist factions get it wrong, they only get it wrong for themselves, but when centrelist factions get it wrong, they get it wrong for everybody. When a centralisation faction centralises two nations citizens, we call it colonialism and oppression. But when a a centrilsation faction does the same for citizens of two states, it's okay because you can quicken enlightenment. You can make the same argument for colonialism, but you use your logic to recognise it's not a worthy trade.

When you guys talk about creating franchises... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make Klavan's Another Kingdom into movies, or better yet maybe a show. It would be an expensive production, no doubt... but with the popularity of shows with a fantasy themes/historical fighting like Witcher, Vikings, Game of Thrones, etc. Then the likely abomination of the new lord of the rings series. I've read the series multiple times, my wife read it and loved it, we gifted copies to friends and they were hooked as well. We truely enjoyed Shut in, but don't forget about the nerd market! We crave good writing, and you guys have the eye for it. Hope someday to see Klavan's story come to life! Also, I have to add that while I truely enjoy and listen to DW political content basically daily... but I proudly pay for a DW membership because of you pushing into the cultural entertainment space. Keep up the great work!

I was in Ohio last spring. At the air museum in Dayton, I walked in and an employee barked at me to put on a mask. Without breaking eye contact, I took my cloth mask out of my pocket, licked the front side, and put it on my face. If they want to be petty authoritarians, I'll be petty back.

Watched Shut In. Powerful and I'm thankful y'all did not change the script like Hollywood would. Ppl actually live the lives movie represents, which is tragic. We need more movies like this so others can see there is a chance for Redemption for all. The way the current administration is promoting "healthier drug" use is like they are saying "We have no hope in your recovery and chance for a life of better decisions, you are but waste to us and we want to help you destroy yourselves. " Thank you Daily Wire for all you are doing to help set the tilted world upright again.
