In most cases the victim whom has shared info via other means I. E Instagram, Facebook etc to get messages out. Are often asked to remove, as to not prejudice the jury before trial. There was another case I heard of from a goal keeper who abused his partner and she was expressing how all the large clubs have divisions in the club that work to keep the negative PR news hush hush. Her case was never moved forward because they club swept up the mess for their star goalkeeper and slandered her name saying she was crazy to make such accusations despite having clear evidence. I’m sure these are only a few cases of many that go unreported.

She presented some strong evidence to show how the club was working to sweep it up and avoid wide spread media coverage. I believe the incident happened around the time he was at West Ham before he was sent off to Middlesbrough. Ironically a few years pass and he is back at West Ham. Who knows though.

Mistakes were made all the way, including parents, (sport)psychologists, managers (personal and at the MU), media, supporters, the girl and her family, but first and foremost it is Mason's fault. The very reason why it was a bad idea to release things, as damning as they may seem, like this as a bombshell on social media is that it immediately alerts the defence to build up its fortifications as frantically and comprehensively as possible, and in the case of Mason here, being able to pay those who are the very best at it to do it - as I very much suspect is what happened here. I don’t care how high emotions or indeed the stakes may have been, if you act rashly and irrationally like this, you will be susceptible to rash and irrational outcomes. Had the woman involved more calmly presented her case to the authorities, which I would like to clarify I do not completely trust in any case, the likeliness that the man who _very very_ likely did despicable things to her would have been punished would have been significantly increased. He would have prevented him from becoming an abuser or just made him learn his lesson after that, regardless if Greenwood gets jail or not. The reason the father made such comment regarding the situation is because the ''abuse'' did not happen on the day, or near of the day when it was leaked. The abuse had happened many months back, they had had a discussion of it as a family, Manchester United was made aware and they reached a settlement. This was way back even when OGS was still in charge. So it was not live. Meaning the girl intentionally kept the file, to which the Dad thought she already deleted. So the father is not supporting Greenwood, he is trying to be consistent with what they had discussed and resolved as a family a while back.
