Danijel Subašić, our (Croatian) goalkeeper played for Zadar in the early days of his career. His best friend Hrvoje Čustić died on the pitch after hitting his head on a concrete wall while trying to catch a ball going out of bounds. Subašić played with a t-shirt with a picture of Čustić beneath his jersey for the rest of his career. He often took of his jersey to reveal the t-shirt after games, hold his hands into the air to dedicate the win to his friend up above. Subašić never forgot Čustić. This is an unknown story outside of Croatia so I thought I'd share.

Kudos to Kun for getting the most devastating news a player still in form can get (and at the worse possible time, so close to a decisive WC run) and making the absolute best out of it. He made the smart choice or retiring for his health, found a path for himself after football (he already had started before) and instead of feeling cheated out of a world cup win he remained close with the team and was a part of the moment. Some people criticised him for celebrating like he was one of the 26 players but I think that's BS. The players clearly thought him worthy and they are the ones who get to decide whether this was also his moment or not.

Always seeming to be able to find the greatest strikers before any other big teams. Torres, Aguero, Forlan, Falcao... He is also the all time highest scorer of Manchester City with 260 goals, has a statue built of him outside the Etihad Stadium of his iconic QPR goal celebration. He is the 5th highest goalscorer of Premier League history with 184 goals. He has the second best goals per ratio in goals per minute ratio with 108 mins per goal only bettered by another Manchester City striker in Haaland who has played a single season till now.

Don't take drugs, no matter what form, or who tells you to take them... just say no. Don't trust anyone when it comes to your own health. God made your body with everything it needs to heal itself, and keep it safe from illnesses.

Football will never be the same without Sergio 💙 City should have retired the number 10 in his honour because nobody not even Erling or Julian can replace him

I hate the fact that Argentina will always play Higuain instead of Kun, possibly the reason for so many of their failures

Beautiful story about beautiful player. Even though I did not supported teams that he was playing for, I sincerely liked watching Sergio Aguero on football pitch... and, then "they" got him vaccinated ... no one talks about 33 footballers worldwide died on the pitch in 2021...

He didn't just take the jab, he promoted it to others. He chose the money over morals. I have no sympathy for what happened to him, karma?

He had heart issues before covid. Not saying that the jab me not have added complications but if you do a little research you will see that he even had to be subbed off for Argentina due to heart related issues.

I can say what a pleasure it was to watch him in the premier League shame he didn't retire with City giving him a testimonial after 10 years at the Etihad he helped to make the club the winning Machine it is and what a thing to do giving the kitmam his Range rover Evoque shame the kitman then sold it.

His story is very emotional. I'm very glad he decided to not continue his career as health is much more important. He's got a life ahead of him to be enjoyed so much still. Don't risk that for just another goal to please the crowds. Everyone has to understand this.
