People see packs of lions running away from a honeybadger. Why? Why a little animal isn't afraid of a big thing? This question is the reason why big things afraid of aggressive little things. Bec they may carry parasites, diseases, poison etc. Something big wont gain anything from challenging something so small. Its this reason that big animals has an instinctive aversion towards them. @@celestraoceans5149 Well for starters hes a little kid, he doesn't need to concern himself with money for over a decade (hopefully). Of course i understand that at some point as an adult money is an obvious consideration. Nowadays we live in such a self obsessed, money and status obsessed society that all people really care about when it comes to these prestigious jobs that take years of commitment is how much your gonna earn/how will society or women revere you. But a lot of children want to become Doctors, Firefighters, Teachers because they are very important jobs and they give you the chance to positively impact and influence others. Especially a doctor where your training, when applied right, can help people be healthy, pain free and their best selves to live a great life. So to encourage a young boy to initially associate his dream job with how much money and status it will bring him does him a huge disservice and helps insure our society stays self centered and money obsessed for generations to come as opposed to fostering a future where people really do try and have a positive impact on those around them and the world at large, without only considering personal gain Hopefully that's a good enough explanation.

I have 11 indoor cats, 3 of whom used to literally live outside (2 of those for *years*) and absolutely none of them ever try to bolt out the door. They also never yell for feeding time or even seem to care that much about food. They also share food bowls and litter boxes. In fact, no cat I've ever owned has behaved in any of those ways and the internet constantly providing videos of it makes me wonder wtf you guys are doing to your pets lol.
@tabby_cat Жыл бұрын
@@cliftonnobles5600 cats tend to learn from each other. I noticed this when we got a new kitten. Once our old cat got used to her, he started meowing more. Before that, he wasn't very vocal, but the new kitten was, so he started trying to make the same noises. And the new kitten eventually started copying his habits too, like eating food from someone's hand. Before that she would get confused and turn her nose up if someone held a handful of food in front of her face, as she was used to only eating from a bowl. She also used to use the indoor litter box regularly, unlike the old cat who preferred to poop outside and only used the box in emergencies. He was probably quite annoyed at a stinky poop staying in the litter box all night before people came to remove it. So the kitten learned to do the same thing from him, and it is very rare that we need to clean the box. I guess cat personalities tend to average out the longer they stay together. And some have very headstrong, demanding or adventurous personalities (like people, I suppose), which may be harder to influence.

I like how the baby buffalo's mom was stopping him from further scaring the elephant
@HellHunter00 Жыл бұрын
I'm no nature expert so I'd appreciate a correction, if required. I think the elephant and the buffalo's mom were afraid of the baby buffalo getting injured. From what I've read, elephants and buffalos usually get along. There have been a bunch of incidents where elephants have killed buffalos though- throwing, skewering with tusks etc.
@SprayerDaYuri Жыл бұрын
@@HellHunter00 I think it has more to do with the elephant doing self-preservation. Imagine you are the biggest thing around and suddenly something very small comes toward you, completely bold and not afraid. It doesn't look strong, so maybe there is another reason why it is so confident. Is it poisonous, sick, can it hurt me in another way? Animals in nature very seldom take a gamble and want to avoid wounds at all costs. Because even a small wound can get infected, prevent you from keeping up with your herd, prevent you from getting food, etc. Stuff like this accours a lot. For example, there are many small rodent species which appear super loud and vicious, being able to defend themselves against a pack of predators because the MIGHT bite and cause an infection and therefore an disadvantage at survival. Or, there are actually human tribes in Africa who straight up walk up to lions in a very calm and confident manner, which causes the lion to leave their freshly caught prey, because when something is so sure of itself it might have a reason for it. There are tons of videos recording these kind of self-preservation behaviours

@@SprayerDaYuri Elephants are very smart, the elephant would have seen its just a baby buffalo and just didnt want to hurt it. Was just trying to move away from the tiny thing without squashing or knocking it flying.
@SprayerDaYuri Жыл бұрын
@@ExaltedwithFail I know that elephants are smart and it can definitely be the way how you described it. But you might also give the elephant too much credit because it could also simply not give a damn about not hurting anything. It's important to understand that there might be just very clear survival implications to it, rather than our very human (or primate) understanding of sympathy, which we wrongfully try to apply to animals even though most animals don't have it. In any case we will probably never know unless we finally invent the elephant-speech converter :D
@ExaltedwithFail Жыл бұрын
@@SprayerDaYuri Maybe but there is enough evidence to show elephants and other animals are perfectly capable of understanding a baby and being gentle. Cats and dogs are very gentle with babies and specifically elephants have alot of videos of them not hurting baby animals. If you search for bull elephant vs rhino, there is a fight where the mother rhino with baby charges a bull elephant and the elephant purposely is careful to not hurt the baby while throwing the rhino mother away like a football. I think mammals have the instinct and perception needed.

So when the kid said that, my heart melted and it reminded me of what we wanted to do with our lives when we were his age. Money wasnt even a thought.

People who've had the pleasure to own rats know that rats are basicly tiny dogs. Which makes the heartbreak of their lifespan so terrible. I've had to let go of so many...but the love and affection they give you makes it worth it every time.

I’m sorry to hear about your losses all^ I’ve never owned them myself, but an ex of mine had 2 rats and they were absolutely adorable. The first time they met me, both of them pee’d and pooped near / on me lol. Thinking back, I may have accidentally spooked them. But as soon as they got used to me, they used to cwtch up and be so loving. They really are like mini dogs…not getting to spend many years with them and losing them is horrible.
