Major threats to cetaceans are often the result of either direct or indirect human activity, and include habitat degradation, commercial fishing and whaling, pollution, boat traffic, and climate change. How many times you think garbage has been tossed in the ocean destroying their habitat? I was on a Naval vessel, and we did it for 6 months. And that's just one ship. These highly intelligent creatures have figured out our behavior and are reacting. Don't look at this or that boat as a culprit but as there way of making an example of what happens to continued behavior. We humans do it all the damn time.

OK...what do we do when a rogue lion attacks villages at night? Unfortunately we kill it. Why? Because it now has a taste for humans and it'll teach other lions to do the same. This pod of Orcas may or may not teach other pods in the sea. However they live a long long time and the males I hear may travel vast distances to join other pods. If this behavior gets worse and spreads it'll do harm to the species.

Are these the same pod doing all the attacks. Why, upon do the first hit, do the boats not leave the area? Will or do the whales pursue? Why do the boaters remain in the path and film? It makes it seem like it is just happening, are the whales targeting the boats? All in all if this one female has taught the others in the pod to do this there is a problem. On land, animal attacks are dealt with. Well bottom line is when other animals attack humans they are put down. This is a particular pod from what I am reading, maybe it is time to end it before someone dies. This is sad. It apparently comes from one leading the others, unfortunately, it has spread, will engrain to offspring. It's so sad but if it doesn't get dealt with we may have a bigger issue.
