@@maalikserebryakov See, I can understand some reasons why people would dislike the Queen/Monarchy, but the scrounger argument doesn't make sense. Firstly, because any money she received was just a fraction of the money earned BY the Crown, of which it paid 100% income tax on. More money was paid from the Crown than in the opposite direction. Secondly, because she probably worked more days in her life than any other person in the country. She performed duties from when she was a child, right up until two days before her death at 96. Hundreds of functions every year, even after the age of 90, in addition to the work that she was required to do separately. Red boxes came to her 363 days a year, even while on a tour internationally, for 70 years. Scrounger simply doesn't make sense here.

His speech, the one by Harriet Harman and the one by Theresa May were excellent. They showed the *human* side of the Queen. If I had one criticism of the Queen, it is that we didn't get to see enough of her as a spontaneous person, as opposed to hearing her reciting a speech that had probably been written by someone else (and if it hadn't been, it sounded as if it had). One advantage that Charles has is that he has lived a lot of his life free of the tighter restrictions of being monarch, so we have got to know him better as a person.

I have respect for Boris! His speech made me choke in tears. I am from Singapore and living in Hong Kong and we are part of the commonwealth and I followed the Queen my whole life!!! I forgot she is human and will perish. I thought she will live forever!

How, in an era when PM’s seem to change as rapidly as the seasons, she has provided us with a political stability that has protected us from looking like a third world banana republic, which is some feat that even countries like Italy, Greece and Poland could only dream of when the EU has stepped in to try and play that role.

@Fresh Prince it’s really none of your business how it affects them

It's strange that you say shock, the woman was 96 years old, this wasn't going to go on for much longer

A wonderful speech, and yes, I also felt her loss, and still feel it. She went so graceful and dutiful as she was during her entire life. Doing her duties, not much noise around her own person, nor her physical struggles, a protocol put in place, and now she's gone to meet her husband again. An epoc, a time, an era or several ones, has just left us with her passing. Rip Queen Elizabeth 👸

Elizabeth II-The Great, How did you do that? Your reign was perfect from bow to bow! Bless your soul.

A speech that was not only wonderful but necessary for the world to be reminded of all the she had given and done for her beloved country.

I have seldom heard his speeches but this one made me break out into a stream of tears once again. Truly a great tribute to a greater monarch. May she have her well deserved peaceful rest with her beloved husband in the heavenly abodes

Only Boris could make a speech like that brilliant.

Yes an amusing MC, witty speech maker but not Prime Minister material, as we have discovered to our cost.

Boris downfall was caused by being tunc struck with his wife and her insane ideas.
