The best tribute speech I’ve heard yet. Tributes, especially so close to the person’s death, don’t have to be nothing but sorrowful, somber words. This was an excellent tribute because it showed her love and respect for the queen, but in a way that lifts people’s spirits. We don’t need to hear how many years she served, how many countries she’d been to, what her shoe size was, etc. from every tribute. The news already repeats all of that. This was the kind of tribute that gives you a little bit more insight into the person, not the title, and leaves you feeling even more love and respect for her majesty than you already had. Now that was a tribute done right.

The Queen's death is a stark reminder for all of us, that life is not how long or short you lived, it is not about how poor or privileged you were, it is not about how successful you were in your career or studies, how many followers you had on social media, it is all about how you made others in your life feel.
