I think the Lovers is one the Major Arcana that is the most difficult for me. I always have this sense of connecting with people, mainly those who I end up in love with, but on the other hand, I always end up losing myself in the process to the point that when is over there's nothing left. I’ve always been attracted to bad boys a primal instinct .I see them as more able to masculine and protection but it never seems to work. I’ve repeatedly made the same mistake and undermined my value as a woman. I’ve since realized and and making the necessary changes to connect with a partner that respects y values. No longer interested in toxic connections! Great job explaining!

Very interesting explanation of The Lovers from you. The Lovers to me is a connection that is Divinely orchestrated, it can be in our destiny. And as we also can see in the card above and between the naked couple a Divine Man with angel wings. Also a connection with a soulcontract from past lifes. For instance, positivity is quite often considered a good thing, but relentless positivity against all odds - a positivity which will not allow nuances of feeling and others' vulnerabilities, can be destructive.

I'm realizing I have been having a hard time making friendships and connections because of how disconnected I am to myself. I spend a lot of time trying to escape myself with screen time and gaming (and a whole host of other addictions). This is my second deep dive and Journaling session with you, and you ask so many good questions! I don't feel connected to the lovers card right now, because I notice a lot of anger and suppression of feelings when I try to. But, I will try to find that sense of self that I long for. I’ve been walking my way through this series and each video has been very helpful 🙂. I decided to use one of my decks (very modern -the Hierophant would not be happy, haha) to look for the symbols and I didn’t see any hints of sex/arousal until I looked closer and sure enough there is, but ever so subtle.

yes, and The Lovers and The Devil are very similar - I'll get into it more when I do my video on The Devil.Toxic attraction is definitely the dark side of The Lovers and may only make sense if the card was reversed or surrounded by more negative cards.
