Catherine, I live in Vancouver Canada 🇨🇦 our weather is similar to yours. This last year will be the third year my Snapdragons have returned. 3 yrs ago I had put a couple of snapdragon plants in a window box. That fall I fell up my garden stairs with an arm full of onions and broke my shoulder. Wasn't able to do my fall cleanup. To my surprise the following late spring the plants in the window box started growing new growth. The plants stalk was kind of pointing sideways instead of straight up but as time went by the new growth starter growing straight up off the mother plant and every one had a growth of flowers. I was also gifted seeds from the mother plant which then also grew. So I had a full window box of Snapdragons that year without labor or cost. Plants are so forgiving. Just give them time and they will surprise you. Give it a try and leave a couple in the ground until next year. See what happens 😊

Hi Catherine. I am going to take my plastic greenhouse down next weekend as the colder weather disintegrates the plastic. Next year I am hoping to invest in a new shed and a real green house, mine however will be tiny for the space I have with no room for a chair and myself haha. I would love a greenhouse as big as the one you have. I would sit in there in the next couple of months, creating a Christmas wreath and natural decorations for my home. I would have twinkling lights inside, if possible, to add to the cosy festive atmosphere and a hot chocolate on the go to keep me warm. You could try to blend the Sunday videos, planning any changes for next year, making natural crafts and planting some winter herbs or veggies to grow inside the greenhouse? Whatever you decide it will be welcomed as it is your optimistic, cheerful personality that draws people to you. Take care x

To hand shovels - I will not admit to how many I have buried or tossed out in the green heap but for the ones that survive - let me share a tip since you "spent a dime" on that fine trowl. In your shed keep a bucket full of sand wetted with oil. it will keep your tools clean and rust-free as you plunge them back in the bucket till next use! Oh, and "thanks A lot" - I was going to forego the annual bulb splurge this year ..... now I have to go buy PINK MUSCARI - Evil evil evil (stomping tempertantrum) You're doing great!

Winter is a great time for dreaming of the next garden season. Many gardeners spend much time pouring through garden catalogs (even online ones) and getting inspired for spring. Take us along when you do that & show us how you plan for the next growing season. Check out the other big garden channels on KZbin and see what they do for winter. Perhaps you could start a little herb garden in your greenhouse, do some arranging of succulents or make a miniature garden. So many options. Looking at the other comments it is clear that people will watch your content no matter what you do.

Do what ever makes you happy in the garden during the winter. Having tea in the green house with the heater going? or just a quick look see at the pond and the beds. You know we will watch. Wow loads of tomatoes. Yummy. You are a pro with priming the petrol and starting your mower. Yard looks great. Use you lawn clippings to make mulch over the winter. It will be great with all the leaves. What is behind your back garden gate? Car Park, Mulch bed, or alley? Just Curious. Enjoyed the video. Thank you.

Great video. The lawn looked so good cut; I can almost smell the grass. Tomorrow I need to harvest what's left of my tomatoes. I cook what I can't eat in a fresh salad. Spent the day placing bulbs throughout the garden. Spring is my favorite season also. Can't wait. Winter is a good time to read and learn about gardening. You could plan a video or two about that. Or, crafts indoors toastie warm It was great being with you . Good luck with the dentist.

Gardening is the best therapy not to think of what is lying in front of you 🤔 That's why I'm going to the garden tomorrow. My date at the d 😲 is on Tuesday. Blondie is so cute 💛 I have a problem as well to cut the flowers in my garden. I feel that I take them away from the bees 🐝 But hopefully soon I will grow soooo many flowers that there is enough for the bees 🐝 and for friends.
