Thank you so much but I have several questions about driving feed intake thruogh lactation? what is the best forage in any period, then do I need any additive through any period as Molass, Niacin, Cholin or prepionate?

Those are great questions. Thank you for bringing up the topics. I'll need to make seperate videos to discuss the topics you said, as they are really important and deep concepts. But in a short response I can say highly digestible alfalfa (harvested before 10% blooming) is a good forage source for early lactation and as we are going to the late lactation you can use more fiberous forages. Just keep in mind that you should never use low qulaity forage and fiber source during early lactation to let the cow increase her feed intake. Feed additives such as Niacin and Biotin are really important during the transition period (15 days before calving untill 30 days after calving) to prevent fatty liver. Also, using propionate during this period can prevent ketosis disorder. I'll make more videos to explain the mechanism of those additives in preventing metabolic disorders. I'll start making a serious of biochemistry videos which are really important to teach the nutritional concepts and metabolic disorders. Thank you again for your attention and good luck.

@@animalnutritionist I enjoyed watching this video. Thank you very much again, and I hope the next video will be a deeper discussion of metabolic diseases with the reasons for nutrition and the errors that may lead to them. For example, alfalfa is rich in calcium, and some warn of it in the rations of dry cows. The theory of changing the way to obtain calcium by accustoming to obtain it from bone resorption a week before birth
