Daisy # 25 intro/reminisce with special mod install

I have a model 25 that’s over 100 years old, and a couple new ones. They all shoot pretty good, fun to make a beer can dance across the back yard as fast as I can pump and squeeze.

I HAD A MODEL 25 WHEN I WAS ABOUT 10 YEARS OLD AND LOVED IT! BUT I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HAPPENED TO IT AFTER I JOIND THE NAVY (1965 TO 1068). SO JUST A YEAR AGO (2022) I WAS SHOPPING FOR RED RYDER PARTS AND SAW THE MODEL 25 ON SALE AT DAISY AND I COULD NOT RESIST! IN LESS THEN A WEEK IT SEEMS, I WAS 10 YEARS OLD ALL OVER AGAIN. WHAT CAN I SAY.

I just got a new Model 25 today. I had one when I was a kid so small I had to use my weight to cock it with the but on the ground and both hands on the forearm, bend my knees to drop and I was ready to shoot again. But I’m 75 years old now and I had to have one again. The first one was a Christmas gift from an Uncle who taught me to hunt and fish.

I seen an advertisement for the model 25 when Daisy was re-releasing these. Put one on order from them. Took awhile but got mine. Me & the Grandsons enjoy plinking with it & the Red Ryder's.

Hi Jonathan I have two model 25 . I. Need to put new seals one of them and 7/64 air tube and carbon fiber shot tube and cobalt327 super. Spring .I have not rebuild a model 25 yet . I pick. It up on E bay . I will watch your video on restore of a model 25 if I can find one that you have done . God bless old george from California

My model25 is shooting at 324fps .iam going new model 25 shot tube with a carbon fiber shot tube initially test again to see how much difference it makes I'll let you know.

Good video. I bought a Daisey pump lately, from the 1990's and it had no "shot tube." It has the little barrel door to load the BB'S. Where can I order the whole inside barrlel shot tube assembly?

Depending on the model, it's possible to order a shot tube assembly for the 105B, and 1938B/1999 series(identical), just depends on length of barrel

The wind just isn't doing me any favors here in Southern illinois. I havnt had a calm day in more than I can recall so I cannot say either way. Out of 5-6 shots I'll have a wild one walk away. But that may be the bbs themselves. I'm not sure. I'm drawing up a catch trap plan right now so hopefully soon I can have an established indoor plinking spot. Just how far out should one expect to keep a good grouping together got these Daisy's? I'm curious.

I also installed a carbon fiber shot tube. Useless! It shot high and right. Rotated the barrel and low and left. So, it is useless.

It may take some slight crowning with a rotary tool. If you tried one of my cfst's, I'm sorry for the results you have found. I havnt heard many complaints and yours is noted.
