I have a Dasey 102 model 33 , I believe it was built in 1933 single shot lever action

I would like to restore it, depending on the cost.

What year do you think it was made ?
@roberthammett67952 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure, but a couple of searches on the googler showed it around the 1930s.

Hi, I have an old Daisy BB gun that I found almost completely buried in the ground. Cleaned it up and it was working but not very well. Do you do restorations? I’d love to get this old gun working properly again. I think it’s from the late 1920s.
@roberthammett67952 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I don't do restorations. You may be able to get the Kinzler Brothers or someone else on KZbin to help however. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Iv acquired one of these. Was my grandfathers. He got it from his father. What size bbs do I need for it.
@roberthammett6795 Жыл бұрын
It took normal Copperhead BBs for me- not a unique size

where can I get cleaned up and fixed ?
@roberthammett6795 Жыл бұрын
I would check with your local gun stores or antique dealers for suggestions. Thanks for watching.

hey this is really cool and helpful! i also was wondering if you could help me with one that doesnt have screws, but rivets istead
@roberthammett67953 жыл бұрын
I haven't tried it, but you may be able to file down the rivets slightly then punch them out. If you're lucky (or good 😀), you can reuse the rivets and tap them down to hold them in place. It's probably best to search for someone more knowledgeable though.

What kind of wood is the stock made of?
@roberthammett6795 Жыл бұрын
I'm not sure. It may be walnut based on some searching.

I found one of these hidden on my apartment porch today. We have about 25 kids in my apartment and the landlord has been evicting families because the unattended children vandalizing property and shooting each other with bb guns. The gun does not cock,however, so I'm going to take it apart and see what the problem is.
@roberthammett6795 Жыл бұрын
That's pretty wild the kids are playing the wild west in your complex. I'd prefer they were shooting each other with Nerf guns but really glad they weren't higher caliber than BBs. Good luck with the inspection and repair!

I can not find any gun dealer that wants to attact this problem. So I guess that I can forget it.
@roberthammett6795 Жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear that. The other thought is to reach out to the Kinzler Brothers on KZbin and ask if they have a contact (or would want to do it themselves).

I got one of those around 1971

It's best to use the daisy zink coated BB's, the copperheads are full of pock parks and rust easily.
@roberthammett67953 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the information. I had no idea that could happen and made sure to not store any BB's in the gun. Thanks again
@trevorjameson32133 жыл бұрын
Very nice! You can also restore the internals and then it will shoot as it should. The leather plunger can be replaced with a modern rubber plunger, and the spring can be replaced too. That is of course, if you wanted to do that.
@roberthammett67953 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment. I watched another video on replacing the guts too and decided against it so I didn't screw it up. 😀

Your video inspired me. I bought a 102-33 like yours but it ended up being a 102-36 instead. I also replaced all the seals and the spring. Hitting a can at 20 yards pretty consistent now. Here are the photos after I finished. imgur.com/gallery/5qCn0z6

@@roberthammett6795 yours has leather seals and the shot tube doesn’t come off so it’s harder on yours. When I fix one like yours and if it’s not too hard I’ll let you know and I can do yours If you want.
