My conspiracy theory is that she's destroying it on purpose as an FU to Lucas (and an additional FU to Spielberg by tanking Indy). She plays up feminism and diversity to sucker in the activists. But really, it is all about petty, personal revenge for when she felt humiliated about getting coffee for Lucas and Spielberg. And somewhere along the way she got dirt on someone that makes her hard to fire on top of the loud, epic lawsuit she's promised to anyone that fires her.

Actually, in regards to the Mandalorian, it wasn't actually Filoni who made the decisions to just make it a Clone Wars spin off. So apparently after the success from the second season, Kathleen Kennedy took full reign of the show, by first bringing Grogu back in Book of Boba Fett and then took almost complete creative control for Mandalorian Season 3 (but still had Filoni credited in case it backfired which is something she loves to do). Filoni actually had talks with Bob Iger to make sure that Kennedy didn't get any creative input for Ahsoka, now he didn't say this but he basically said 'Kennedy ruined the Mandalorian". I remember this because I remember reading a few Guardian and other news articles about this after Mando seaosn 3.

1. Excessive pandering. Is there anything iconic about Solo we didn't see him get in the movie? 2. They wasted Lando. Absolutely killed the character and wasted Glover. These guys could have been the best buddy story since Riggs and Murtaugh. 3. They completely missed the opportunity for Solo and Lando team up. 4. Droid sexuality. 5. Droid revolution nonsense. 6. Maul lives nonsense. Yes, this isn't the only story that caters to this nonsense, but him being alive is total nonsense. 7. If the movie was any good, #1 meant they didn't have enough meat on the bone for a follow up.

If I'm being completely honest, Star Wars started taking hits when George Lucas himself messed with the OT. None of the changes he made to the original three films made them better, and in some cases made them worse. I can understand using CG to say, clean up matte lines, cleaning up images, color correction, or adding A BIT of extra detail here and there, but he got way too carried away with it. But I digress, while not everything Disney has done may be utter trash, (e.g. Rogue One and the first two seasons of The Mandalorian) as a whole, as far as I'm concerned, this franchise was in huge trouble starting with the sequel trilogy. Unfortunately, I think Star Wars was dead before George Lucas' signature on the sale contract to Disney dried, but I just didn't know it yet, or want to believe it. I'll stick to the unaltered OT and some select stuff from the original EU for my Star Wars fix. I have zero faith in Disney and just can't see this franchise being fixed. Time to move on, in my opinion.
