Beautiful! My brim never turns out as pretty as yours! Yours is a perfect rectangle. Mine usually is stretched out at the corners, no matter how hard I try! I don't like many crochet hats but this one is just special. Thank you!

Amy, I make a regular single crochet in the first and last stitch, BLO in the ones in between. I find it gives me a nicer finished shape. HTH.

That you very much, I appreciate this great tutorial, all the tails gave me anxiety though 😂 having to bring up the yarn without cutting it made me nervous about tangles 😂 I guess because I’m fairly new to crochet I have yet to work on a project that carries the yarn this way, so I would just have to get confident enough to feel like I can do it! Is definitely worth the try, it’s such a cute 🥰 hat! I love it! You did a great job explaining everything and demonstrating the way it looks in different colors! Thank you!

I am wondering if this can be done using only 3 colours? I am making a school spirit hat for my granddaughters and their school has 3 colours. I like the wide brim so I can attach the crocodile mascot appliqué. I am really enjoying your tutorials and appreciate the free printable pattern for this hat.❤

Oh, I’m in so much trouble…I want to make every single item you come up with as I love them all. And now these beanies? Of course my first thought had to be “I should make one for everyone in my family as stocking stuffers for next Christmas”. I need more time!!! How many hats can you get out of a single donut? Thank you for all of your beautiful tutorials❣️
@dianeberron64702 жыл бұрын
It would be helpful to add the wide, fold up band in the pattern. I hopped over to the video to see how you were handling the color changes, thankfully I had not yet seamed my 9 stitch band (per printed pattern). Starting over.

For an infant, would you still chain 20 at the beginning? Also, would you still work 20 rows before decreasing?

I need help. When I make the hat ribbong at the beginning of the hat , I measure to make sure it is a good length and fits well. Then I count stitches and put a single crochet in the end of each row. My problem is that to get the ribbing to be the length I need, I I end up with too many stitches for the body of the hat. I usually end up having to use a smaller hook than I would like to keep the body of the hat from being too big. Help!

These are beautiful hats. Can't wait to try one. One question. What brand crochet hook are you using. It seems to have a pointed head and I'm looking for that type of hook. Thank you for this nice pattern.

Will this work if I don't turn my work? I'm having an issue at the turning point. I will have to try again using a stitch marker. Also does the row end on a ch1? Pattern is *sc, ch1, skip1*

Is it hard to get the pom pom back off to wash the hat?
@cassandrak4240 Жыл бұрын
I started this pattern and I’m a bit confused. It says one color from the skein should be enough to crochet the 68 rows in the beginning, but I can only crochet 34 rows with it. Has anyone experienced the same thing?
