Cannot wait to make a baby blanket with this stitch - have a pretty yellow to use... aaaahhh! Oh and for any newer crocheters out there - when I first started over a year ago I'd always try a new stitch by making a washcloth.... calling it a swatch is great but with a washcloth even if it comes out a little wonky at least you can use it, right? Happy Crocheting everyone and Thank you Tiffany for this awesome video :)

Just finished the mesh and bobbie stitch and wanted a different border other than the sc around and found this!! This border will look nice. I did mine in parchment, coral and sage. Odd colors for a girls baby blanket but they wanted gender neutral so I did woodland colors and added a fawn.

I wanted to make this blanket in coral and gray for my granddaughter that is due on July 4th. I bought pink & gray in carron simply soft medium 4. I don’t like the yarn. It is too thin and kept separating. So, I will have to keep looking for a better quality yarn that is thicker. I tried Michael’s & Joann’s. I think I will try hobby lobby next.

If you order online, I highly recommend Paintbox yarn. It's so super soft and great stitch definition, it never splits!! It's just my absolute favorite yarn to work with.

I just love this stitch. It gives so much texture without being bulky and I think it will work well with a bulky yarn because it lays almost flat. I'm excited to try it with the Bernat Forever Fleece that I have. Thank you.

Another fantastic tutorial. Thank you, may I just give one suggestion? When stating the size of the hook could you also give the Metric equivalent, simply because a lot of UK viewer watching don’t always know what a size ‘H’ would be in mm’s. Thank you. Love this tutorial.
@luwandaartrelle42505 жыл бұрын
An H hook is a 5mm, an I hook is 5.5mm, J hook is 6mm. Hope this helps.

I have just finished my blanket in half double crochet and 2 rows of single chrochet .and about to start the edging..just a quick question..i notice you turn your project around and then start your scalloped edging ..any particular reason why you turn?? I hope this question makes sense...i do however like the way your scalloped edging falls its a beautiful finish...thank you for staring 🙂

Yarn Opinion Question...would you use the Patons Canadiana on this? I absolutely adore this design and the shell border. I love the reference and flexibility of just going with the flow on doing the scallops and making them work. 😉 thank you for the great tutorials
@DaisyFarmCrafts5 жыл бұрын
Yes! I think Patons Canadiana would be a great substitute! Thanks for commenting!

How many skeins do you need of the Caron Simply Soft yarn to complete this project? The website pattern only tells us the amount for the original yarn.
@DaisyFarmCrafts5 жыл бұрын
I would estimate that 2 of each color would probably be enough for a small 30 x 30 baby blanket.

Hi again. I was wondering if you had ever tried showing a video of a pattern that i would love to try. I cannot read patterns I can only follow what i see?
@michaelfisher59575 жыл бұрын
i am just a beginner and I am not sure if i missed what size the crochet hook was??
@DaisyFarmCrafts5 жыл бұрын
Michael Fisher a good rule is to use the hook size that is recommended on the yarn label. For Caron Simply Soft yarn, it is a H size hook. 😊😊😊

I made this blanket for my youngest son in 2 different variegated blues and 2 different tones of blue. I was making one in hot pink, pink camo, and a military green in case we ended up having a girl. I did simple sc/hdc in bernat blanket all the way around the border. Great simple pattern that just turns out AMAZING!😍😍😍

Love your work and your tutorials. I just wanted to mention that since this was aimed more towards the beginning crocheters, it’s too bad you didn’t show them how to hide their tails when you added the strawberry yarn to do the border. Other than that, this was a great beginner tutorial. Thank you Tiffany 😊
