I heard/read somewhere (can’t remember where) if you take the length of the finished blanket size and minus the width from it, that gives the length you do your chain for rectangle blankets and apparently it grows in proportion (never tried it myself though) 🤷♀️

Thank you so much for this tutorial. I am working on the square and had the bright idea to make two rectangle ones and crochet them together, then put some foam insert inside to make a dog bed for my dog. I didn't know how to make that work and started looking for some video tutorials. I could only find moss stitch rectangles, though.....and then there was yours! So glad I found it! Thank you so much!

I love this pattern, thank you. As I am a beginner in the world of mosaic crochet, would this be considered beyond me? I have done the long tail foundation chain but have so much difficulty with the first round getting my hook under the loop. Is there a special technique you recommend?
@BebaBlanket3 ай бұрын
Thank you very much! If you struggle with a long tail foundation chain, you can start with a simple chain. I replied to one of the comments on how to work in this case. There is a square version as well, which starts with a magic ring ❤️❤️❤️

Are you struggling with a long tail foundation chain? You can start with a simple chain instead. If you look through the comments, you will find more details ❤️❤️❤️
@sharonchristensen58823 ай бұрын
@@BebaBlanket I’m struggling with that and also the long of my rectangle will work out one side and the next side won’t and there will be gaps/holes in my work and I won’t know where to put my next stitch. I will try again in the future and if I can do a normal chain will be easier for me. Thank for helping.

Can you start this without the single foundation crochet???
@BebaBlanket3 ай бұрын
yes. But then you have to work 2 rounds of back loop single crochet stitches with corners 1sc, ch1, 1sc before you can start working fldc. And your center will look differently (as it will be 2 rounds of all blsc). Hope that helps ❤️❤️❤️

they front loops thats you are saying are called front or back posts stitches in basic chrochet

You are wrong and confusing others. Front post stitches are worked around the post, not into front loop.

Its because people in youtube are not using basic chrochet instructions they dont how to even read an etsy pattern I can guarantee you that and its annoying to see people calling a stitch something thats its not like for example the v stitch will always will be a v stitch a 2 dc together will always be just that but noone is calling the stitches right all a moss stitch is. is a single chrochet. worked in every chain spaces you need to change 1 after each sc made tho thats all a moss stitch really is go order you a book. it will be better for your learning to help with any confusion
@BebaBlanket3 ай бұрын
Sorry, l am confused... are you addressing this to me? Did l name it moss stitch or solid mosaic moss? It's my interpretation of moss stitch integrated into mosaic crochet technique.
