I would disagree with RC partly and then I would completely agree with RC on other part. Here is my disagreement and agreement 🙏 Atheism is not actually rejection of theism. It doesn't say God don't exist. It only says there is no compelling evidence for God, and theism has not met their burden of proof. Atheism don't claim that there is no God exist. ( I know RC know it but somehow he explained it otherwise here in this very discussion --- so I disagree ) But antithiesm is rejection of theism where it actively say there is no God exist. So atheism is different from and antitheism. Now regarding agnosticism , we can say it is not at all related to belief rather related to knowledge and we say we don't know, we don't have the knowledge of god , that's the agnostic position. So agnostic position is exactly the atheistic position when it represented in terms of belief , that we don't believe in a god because there it doesn't make any sense. So only thing that is different is the label of agnostic and label of atheist both are almost the same when it comes to god belief. But atheism represents it much more effective than terming it as agnosticism. So here agree with RC that terming it as agnosticism is a false position , but i think it is being used for other social reasons which I have serious apprehension for using such term. So when theism is representing interms of belief, it would be wise to use the term atheism rather than agnosticism. Because there is no possible way of knowing anything regarding so called god. So when someone ask do you believe in a god , your answer would be I don't believe in a god ----> which is the exact defenition of atheism. So claim it , say you are an atheist 😎 rather than saying I have no knowledge of god (agnostic). SO I DONT BELIEVE IN A GOD , WHICH MAKES ME AN ATHEIST 😂 So if you want use agnostic , then better use the term "agnostic atheist" rather than simple stupid term "agnostic". This can shed a lot of unnecessary dogmas around the term atheist , and will raise a better political voice than hiding in the term "agnostic".
