So in parts of the US, it would be said that you literally went "on a wild goose chase"! 😉 lol "...a search that is completely unsuccessful ... because the person or thing being searched for does not exist or is somewhere else" (definition according to the Cambridge Dictionary) But what FUN was had! Especially learning that the store owners recognized you and know your Beautiful Mom ❤ If you want a goose that will protect your chickens, get a baby goose (gosling) in the spring and raise it with some chicks. It will bond with the chickens and see them as its flock, so will protect them.

What a wonderful thing to do for your dogs who are scared of the thunder, music for dogs!!!! And finding that male goose just next door is fabulous! He's so handsome! Rod deserve everything that’s going one on his life now. To never giving up his education even though he had to take 4 hour daily to get to school is incredible. Many would have given up! True Story. An un wanted goose was hauled about 130 mile way and dropped out of the car. By the time the people got back home the goose was back in the yard.

I kind of like the combination of the vertical spindles in the staircase and the horizontal larger boards at the top. The horizontal boards frame that opening in the ceiling nicely. :) I think if you also change the rest of the boards to vertical spindles it will be a little too visually busy. Your place is looking more and more like home! You must both be so proud of all the progress that you have made and how it's all finally coming together! Also, my heart melted when the goose got his partner. So sweet how quickly that soothed him.

Remember how much you missed Freddie? Geese mate for life too. You and they will do better with a pair of them. They get too lonely and it’s truly sad to watch. They are better and more fierce than any guard dog. The males get aggressive when there’s eggs… once they bond… they are forever devoted. If their female dies… they will constantly look at anything that reflects their image to not feel alone. I left my comment before the end… I’m SO glad you listened to his heart 💜

My daughter walked a mile to a one-room schoolhouse ( with no electricity) up through the 5th grade. We live in a remote mountain area of southern Costa Rica. She eventually got a Masters degree and I believe her humble beginnings helped make her strong, just like Rodrigo.

Decorating exteriors of homes with animals was a big trend in the US in the 1950's and 1960's. I love the one room school house. They were very common in the US from the 19th through the mid 20th centuries. I am a bird watcher. I am glad you got the pair of geese because they mate for life (as do many bird species).

Your goose crying brought back memories. I visited a farm in Puerto Rico. There was a cow fenced in across the road from where I was. And there was another cow inside the fence where I was. The cow across the road was looking at the cow near me and he was crying. I could hear big tear drops dropping to the grass. This left a loving impression within me to see how animals love each other. I did not know cows could cry! Huh, the butt-bite was hilarious! 😂

You guys are so cute! About geese... you'll have eggs! I'm so glad you got a pair, they mate for life. Geese like to lay eggs in a corner nest on the ground, they need ventilation, dry bedding, can live with the chickens as long as there is space for them and the ventilation. I think the coop should maybe be rebuilt, with wire laid down then soil, in a way that no animal can get under or in. Looks like you didn't get in too much trouble for getting geese, haha! It's nice the boy goats can run around.
