Dating military men is hard and the majority of the time it doesn't work out. Sounds like he was just using you. In relationships there are times you will feel like you're not getting enough. Doesn't mean it's going to end, but it's just what happens. You want 50/50 in a relationship, but most times it's 80/20 or 60/40. I hope you find a loving, caring, and good man. People with PTSD do things like wake up screaming from a nightmare or jumping for cover when they hear popping noises. Your ex sounds more like a case of narcissistic personality disorder than anything else. What you described were the classic love-bombing and discard phases on rapid cycle. I'm glad you cut him off completely -- best thing you could have done for yourself. The thing he said to you after the break up, btw, was not a "Sagittarius trait;" it was him knowing that acting indifferently when you were clearly attached to him would be the thing that hurt you most. BTW, astrology has failed scientific testing again and again... and again. I would not look to it for any kind of guidance, especially if you are Christian, because it is of occult origin.

He was very controlling and manipulative my relationship was toxic and I didn’t deserve any of that. before all that even happened I tried to make the relationship work and I lost myself trying to fix a man 🤦🏾‍♀️ I’ll never do it again I had to go to a therapist I dealt with ptsd and feeling like I wasn’t good enough it was a terrible time for me but now I’m 21 and I know better and I have grown so much. And I have found myself again and have gotten closer to God and I can finally say I’m happy 😊 I thought I was the only one who dated a crazy marine guy I’m happy that people are sharing their stories and now I don’t feel so alone. I grew up and live between two bases at the east coast of NC. Never dated any though, more so because what i witness is fast pregnancies, fast marriages just so they can get off of base in a provided home, and then it goes to 💩 when they deploy. I was a dancer for a few years and they love them some girls (maybe because they've been deprived from that on base? Idk). Due to the constant boy energy, i find them to be douchebags. We also have an island where a lot of navy and army are sent to after their 30s, and those aren't so bad. Seems like a calmer military career versus being in the Marines. And most Marines clock out after serving their first 4 years to become police officers... which i kinda have an issue with. If a military person has been deployed and seen the worst, they should be tested for PTSD before being handed a new career in law enforcement.

I wanted to mention I once dated 2 Guys in the Army and it was a bad experience for me as well. The first one literally had kids in different places of the world I knew nothing about. When he came back from South Korea where he was stationed at the time he even had another girlfriend in my hometown that I didn’t know about. My first time knowing she even exists is when he came back home and she was posting him .... it was crazy! The second one Appeared to really like me and that quickly changed because months down the line he was trying to get me to change my body. He kept telling me I should diet and he would like me more if I loose weight 🙄

I dated a man going into the Army when I was 19 (I am now 59,but I don't act like it or look like it to so many people)! My ex I dumped when I was intelligent buy then tried to get back into my life because I was in huge denial that once an abuser, always an abuser. I never lived with him but,I went looking for him online amd found him,I wrote to him and he called me.I finally realized that he was too too strange for me to love. He had some major problems including being hit with an RPG. He hasn't been the same from that day forward...and well,we'll, found a wonderful MA. Aka knight in shining armor just for me.He is an airforce veteran...and he and I are still married after 15 years! It sounds pretty similar like this situationship I was in with this guy who was in the army. I broke up with him after a few months because he'd say and do things with a completely nonchalant attitude that were just not it for me, not caring about my feelings one bit it was like he was completely tone deaf when it came to how his actions affected me, I was in a tough period of my life then as well and it felt like he was one of the things that heightened my stress and anxiety levels even more. I tried to do the friend thing and I realized in about 1 week that being this man's friend did not benefit me in any way, it only benefited him. He was ok no problems already fucking other people, he just wanted the emotional benefits I provided because I've been a very understanding person with him. I sent him a message, told him what I had to say and just fell off the map for him. He tried to contact me a month later to complain about his new breakup. This man had the time to be in a whole other relationship and break up in less than a month after we cut contact, complaining about how he's hurt and basically kind of blaming it on the other person and I was thinking like bro, I wonder why it didn't work. Never again. I'm getting anxiety just thinking about that situation.
